BARRIERS FACED BY MEN FOR SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY
With the changing trend, the men now like to spend time with the family. But due to the
responsibility and work there are several barriers which are faced by men and they do not get
time to spend with family. The major constraint is the working hours. As per the case study, the
men work for more than 55 hours a week which makes them unable to spend the time with
family (Six Obstacles to Father Involvement—and How to Overcome Them, 2016). Generally, it
has been seen that dad are the one who feels guilty because they are not able to give proper time
to their kids. Besides this, working laws are so strict which prohibit men to properly maintain
work life balance.
STRATEGIES FOR FACILITATING WORK LIFE BALANCE
The strategies which can organization can implement is reducing the working hours of
men. This will help them to spend time with the family. For doing this, they can reduce the
working hours per week. The working hours can be calculated per work. So that if the worker
want to leave office one day early he can compensate the due hours next day (Jennings and
McDougald, 2007). This will assist the workers to spend time with the family and it will not
hamper the work of the organization. Besides this, the corporate can increase the paid leave of
men so that this way they can balance their family responsibility and work life.
