Leadership and management refers to getting people to believe in the vision that I have
assess that for the organization and to work on achieving all the goals and objectives whereas
management is more about administration and making sure about all activities that are going on
in an organization. There are a number of different roles which are fulfilled by leadership and
management in an organization. A leader is responsible to bring in change, motivate others in
organization and explain them what is to be done and how can they do it. Whereas managers
have the power over their subordinates and they are more authoritarian leadership style while
telling people what to do. In the following report a case study is taken into consideration named a
day in the life of Alexander: driving in the fast lane at Landon care products. The description on
various theories regarding leadership and management is made in the report specifically. And
identification of training and development of workforce in the organization is described and
effective role of managers and leaders in training and developing staff is discussed. The report
also effectively discusses ways in which employ knowledge and development can be done in
organization (Cherry and Jacob, 2016).
SCENARIO
The following case study describes about Alexander who is a product manager at Landon
care products.Alexander is a new product manager who is responsible to drive talent and
attractive management and the style of its leadership is intolerant to employees. In some
backdrop of 360° performance review process is also creating issues in organization. Sander is
working in toiletries division of Landon care products. He is also leading the launch of an
European skincare product into United States market which is requiring multinational product
development team. The case study also describes work experience, educational experience of the
product manager along with which an organizational chart explains hierarchy of power and
