Background of research topic:
Motivation refers to the techniques through which people are encouraged in order to achieve
particular goals. Motivation is organizational context have its own significance as it can help the
employees to be more productive than the employees who lack motivation. The motivated
employees are more satisfied and happier in their workplaces which affects their production
capability and abilities (Andah and et.al., 2021). They also motivate other employees to perform
better in the organization. Motivated employees are highly engaged and also handle crisis more
effectively than the other employees. They have better problem solving skills and decision
making skills as well.
Motivation have effects on the business as well. It can bring creativity and innovation
through motivating employees to go beyond their limits and take initiatives. This leads to higher
customer satisfactions, enhanced employee retention rates ad more profitability in the
companies. Motivation is the ultimate driving force which enables an employee to go to their
work and perform with their full efficiency. If the motivation is absent, it will be reflected in
poor performances of the employees. All these factors leads the companies towards attainment of
their organizational objectives and aims (Raoufi and Fayek, 2021).
Motivation is a strong power through which the companies can change the behaviours of
its employees and mould it as it wishes them to be. Through this the company can connect the
personal goals of the employees with the organizational objectives which will encourage
employees to give their best to attain the organizational objectives.

1904. Its headquarters are in Bracknell, Berkshire, and Victoria, London, United Kingdom.
Waitrose is the company which is specialising in sale of food products to the customers.
