INTRODUCTION
Workforce planning in the business has been considered as one of the most important
element in the business. The human base of the company takes the company towards the high
rate of growth and success. This report will illustrate the concept of workforce planning in the
business and the issues that has been faced by the business in managing the workforce.
MAIN BODY
Analysing the Workforce planning as the current business issue
Workforce planning has been described as the proper planning of engaging the right staff
in the organization. It is not an easy task. As it involves large number of efforts. It is hard to find
the effective people from the large number of people. (Turan, Elsawah and Ryan, 2019). The
main motive of the workforce planning is to assure the effective workforce in the organization. It
has been found from various research that an organization with effective and talented workforce
leads to the more growth and development of the business.
The challenges and their solutions
Challenges that arise in the workforce planning are, demotivation in the employees, no
coordination between employees, less number of resources that are required in the workforce
planning, less effective planning, min-management of time and ineffective retention of the
employees. Workforce planning is one of the important factor in the organization. Therefore, it
requires large number of efforts in terms of managing this planning. Workforce planning consist
development of employees as well. Therefore, the management team is liable in order to provide
motivation to the employees. So, the employees can have the sense of increasing value. This is
not an easy task. There are large number of people present in the organization and all of them
have different set of thinking. (Turan and et.al., 2020). And it is hard to understand them
individually. Some can get motivated easily as they are easy to approach and some do no get
motivated easily as they are hard to approach. In such situation, the manager tries to create the
good relation with the employees so, the better understanding between them take place. And the
every employee can approached easily. The another challenge in the workforce planning is that,
it is hard to find the suitable candidate for filling-up the roles. In order to solve this, organization
adopts the effective recruitment and selection strategy. The organization focuses on making

The second step that is involves in this is to analyse the current workforce that is available in the
company. This provides an idea that how much people are contributing in effective manner and
how much not. (Turan and et.al., 2021). This further helps in knowing the required employees in
the organization. The proper analysation of the current workforce in the organization clears the
confusion in the mind of the management team regarding the over-staffing and under-staffing.
On the basis of analysing, the action plan has been made in the organization. The action plan
refers to that plan in the that is needed to perform in order to full-fill the requirement of the
workforce in the organization. For example: in an organization at the time of workforce
analysation it has been found that, there is need to fill up certain job position in the organization.
Then the action plan is made related to that.
On the other hand, if it has been analysed that, the employees are less trained and not
performing better. Then, certain training programmes has been launched by the company. Thus,
the action plan is based on the workforce analysation. Afterwards, the action plan is
implemented. Whatever that has been decided by the management team in the action plan of
workforce has been performed practically while implementing the action plan. For selecting the
effective employees, the process of recruitment and selection has been take place and in order to
provide training and increasing the effectiveness of the workers certain training session has been

Reflection
During this session, I learned many things from a single topic. The topic was related to
the current business issue in the workforce planning. In have learned that the workforce planning
is the mandatory part that has to be performed by every business. This portfolio makes me clear
that a business can have the same physical and financial resources but, the human resource of the
company is the integrated part. (Sandy, L.G., 2017). The workforce analysation in the company
helps in clearing the confusion in the mind of manger that are related to adding more staff in the
organization. This think clears my vision in relation of analysing the thing. I get to know that
before starting any planning it is important to analyse the thing. And on the basis of analysation
the steps has to be set in the planning. I have also learned that, in order to set workforce
planning. The objective has to be clear in the mind of the organization. (Desselle and et.al.,
2018). And I have found one thing during this learning and that excites me on another level that
is making action plan.
After setting the goal and analysing the workforce. Now, it is time to prepare the action
plan so all the requirement that are needed to manage the workforce in the organization can be
performed accordingly. The concept of action plan excites me because, the action plan is that
plan which adds glory in the life of student as well. I have learned here as well that, action plan
helps in setting up the plans that has to be taken into actions. After the making of action plan, the
plan is implemented and the recruitment and selection has been started for filling up the suitable
job with suitable role. The another major thing I have learned during this research is that, the

findings, I also learned that the issues that occurs in managing the workforce in the organization
can be solved by making strategy within the time frame.
CONCLUSION
The above reflection shows that, I have learned the importance of coordination, setting
objectives, analysation and time management. And all the planning that has been made in the
workforce planning can be completed on time. I found that time is a crucial factor. It plays the
vital role in achieving the objectives. There is no sense of achieving the objective if the time does
not get managed.
