INTRODUCTION
Academy research and writing can be defined as formal style of writing that is mainly
used in university and scholarly publication. For academic writing, journal articles and books
are used to write on academic topic. Student needs to have varieties of skills, knowledge in order
to do academy research and writing to complete their education and get success in future career
ahead. This report has covered key information related to business issue using research material,
reflective practice about what has been learn from module and the way it is fruitful for future
circumstances. At last it covers personal development plan to improve academic skills for
achieve more success in professional and personal career.
1. Discussion of business issue using research material
Business is an enterprise that is engage is selling of product and services to attract more
and more customers in the organisation and earn high profit margin. In current scenario, there are
ranges of issue that are face by business while operating its business in external environment. So
manager in order to promote growth and expansion of business needs to plan strategies that
could be used by it to sustain in competitive market. One of the main key business issue
companies are facing in recent circumstances is workforce planning, as there are many
individuals that company required in order to complete their respective task in the firm (Kumar,
2021). Employees are most important individuals as they are the one that make utilisation of
their skills and capabilities in order to perform the task and helps company in achieving the end
objectives. Likewise, there are companies in which human resources manager are facing
challenges pertaining to planning composition and content of workforce that could be helpful in
achieving the end objectives of firm. As there are wide range of individuals with different skills,
capabilities and knowledge that organisation required to stay ahead in competition. Furthermore,
some of the human resources manager of company are not able to find gap between the existing
workforces and required which results in insufficient workforce to complete various task of
organisation. On contrary note, sometime HR may hire excess workforce to complete the task
which results in additional cost to the company (Ruf, 2020). In short, it has been identified that
majorly organisation or HR manager are not able to hire right individuals at right position that
lead in high employees turnover and chances of absenteeism.

Companies are making use of different strategies for workforce planning in order to have
required employees to timely delivered services to customers. Such as they are firstly laying
efforts on analysing the current workforce or actual number of individuals that are present in the
enterprise that have specified skills and capabilities to performed particular task. Then the human
resources manager take steps to find future gap or total number of employees that company may
required in future scenario to complete the task for benefits of firm. This helps company in
timely hiring right individual at right time within organisation and making customers happy and
satisfied beyond their wants (Strydom, 2019). Along with it, human resource manager are also
laying emphasis on improving the organisation culture, so that all talented and qualified
employees are motivated to work for company. Such as promoting open communicating between
the employees so that they can easily share their point of view with each others and there are no
chances of confusion and conflict in future scenario. In addition to this, firm are also laying
efforts on monitor and analysis continuous the workforce to make planning to have right
individuals at right place within organisation.
The suggestion that could be used by firm to overcome issue related to workplace
planning challenges is that it should make use of innovative technology to store, accumulate and
analysis information related to actual workforce present and required in future scenario. As it
will contribute in saving cost, and time frame to recruit and retained required talented individuals
within the organisation.
Therefore, from the above analysis it can be concluded that because of number of
employees working in company at different geographical location, it has become difficult for
them to plan accurate workforce. That finally results in insufficient employees to perform desired
task and delay in offering services to customers (Murthy and Kinange, 2018). So, it can be
suggested that manager needs to maintained accurate record of total employees present and
required in future for better workforce planning and growth of firm.

It is important to develop skills so that I can work efficiently in an organisation. There are
some skills which an individual person should have so that work can be completed efficiently
and it helps in achieving targets (MAURYA and SHARMA, 2017). From the module I have
learn different skills such as, note making skill, essay writing, paragraph writing, how to do
referencing. I also learn evidence writing and develop academic skills which is beneficial for me

my communication skill was not good and due to that I am not able to get good opportunities.

work I have to do. Note making skills helps in making short notes for what I have learn and this
helps in an organisation because there are many work to do and it is essential to write down
things. This helps in completing all work on time and there will be less chances of mistakes and
misunderstanding.
It is essential for an organisation to develop skills so that they can perform better than
others and it helps in achieving goals and objectives of company. It is important to focus on

this I have to collect details. Referencing skill I learn from module because it helps me in doing
referencing and it is beneficial for me. There are many skills which a person should have so that
work can be completed on time and it helps in performing better than others. According to my
point of view, it is essential to develop skills because it is useful while working in an
organisation and work can be completed on time. when a person has necessary skills then
candidate perform better than others.
