INTRODUCTION
Working with leading people consists important role in the entity. In respect to this
business considered knowledge which is requires for developments of the enterprises. Present
report is based on Virgin Media which is UK based company. It offers many services such as
internet networking, mobile and telephone based services and Broadband based services. Present
report is based on recruiting, selecting and retention of employees (Reddy and Govender, 2014)..
It also includes documentation of employees and selecting employees for the company.
Furthermore, it covers impact of legal, ethical and regulatory consideration within the firm. In
addition to this, report also covers comparison among different leadership style which can be
followed by business along with ways to motivating employees.

In respect to recruit new member within Virgin media, company can use latest and
advance technology. In this aspect, they can meet with profitability and high revenue within the
business environment (Reddy and Govender, 2014). The company is providing cable broadband,
digital TV and mobile, etc. Thus, they have to recruit store manager to promote the business
activities and enhance revenue.

In order to take part in recruitment and selection process, I make short list for all
candidates who gives their application for sales executives post. I used different types of
methods to analysis their knowledge and IQ level. I take IQ test, written examination and many
more things to select member within Virgin media. After short listing of candidates, I have
arranges interview program.
Interview
In order to make effective results, in interview I take part regarding those candidates who
are short listed. I arrange interview program for different candidates regarding their knowledge
and cultural background. In this, also assess knowledge of candidates which are very important
for Virgin media. Further, I also ask general questions from the people to test their IQ level at
workplace.

1.4 Reasons for ineffective and unfair recruitment practices in selection and recruitment.
Virgin Media uses two different types of hiring approaches for selecting employees I.e.
internal and external. The company hiring employees through external approaches. External
approach is effective for the company because with the helps of this approach company can
brings fresh talent and more skilled employees. However, this approach also have some in
defectiveness. Some points are disucceed below.
External approach is considered as longer process in company. Entity need to conduct
full interview process and then need to selected employees. It is time consuming process which
remove effective of the hiring employees.
Another reasons of ineffectiveness of this approach is that is expensive process for the
company. For conducting external recruitment entity need to give advertisements which add
operational cost in company.
For making interview more effective I make my own contribution in selection section
process. For making hiring process more effective I give equal chances to employees and make
sure that interview of is conducted as per statutory requirements. I also focus on giving fair
chances to employees. For making external hiring more effective I make contacts with hiring
institutions.

Good Communication skills
It is a two way process which assists the leaders of ompany for making effective
interactions with its employees. If leaders of company have good communication skills then they
can make interaction with its worker (Bauer. Briss and Bowman, 2014). Leaders of Virgin media
always focuses on developing effective communication with its employees so they can solve
their issues regrading workplace.
Motivation skills
Leaders also need to have skills to motivate others so that individual can perform better.
Primary objective of leaders is to motivate the employees towards accomplishing common goals
. It will assist to organization for achieving its business objectives (Brandenburg, and Wilson,
2013). If worker are self motivated then its helps to company for improving its performances
and with help of this Virgin media can maintain long term relations with its employees.
Technical knowledge
Leaders also have some technical knowledge. This technical knowledge assists the
leaders to for providing guidelines to its subordinates and also helps their subordinates so they

leadership styles of motivated followers for adopt changes that raise their level of confidence and
desire to achieve common moral purpose. Virgin media use this approach when entity require

Under this style leaders of company motivated to employees for completing their tasks

Maslow's hierarchy of needs for motivating its workers.

It involves physical requirement of human survival. If these requirements are not met

There are two applicants for which are selected for store manager positions. I create difficult
situations for me. For solving this issues I choose various methods such as make effective
communication with different team and ask to them their requirement which they want in their
team members. After making communication with different team members I make need I take
intervene of application for of those two applicants on the basis of requirement of different
team. For solving this issues I take interview of the both the employees. The interview process
is passes through various stages such to check require skills in the both applicants, check their
experience as per the job and then make final selection of employees.
Skills which are required for the store manager is good communication skills, have
knowledge of logistics and also have good critical thinking. Another basis for making selecting
is on the basis of experience. I select to that employees which possessed good experiences as
stores manager. At last I will select to that employees which make fist as per entity's cultures
and environment. Solving conflicts in between two different teams I make clear communication
with team and make selected of applications which fulfill demands of both teams.
