Cultures differences-
In context of Mr Fishy, business communication had to cut across different
cultural identifies. Cultural differences is one of the barriers that company face
while operating business in London. Worker belongs to different culture that
impact on their communication process negatively as they cannot be able to
understand each other perspective that affect productivity of business as well as
profitability. British and Non British staff members have different culture,
which make barriers when they try to communicate with each other, it creates
negative environment around workplace which directly impact on employees
productivity more than before. It creates conflict at work area, this situation
begins misunderstanding and also lead to complexity.
Differences in view point and expectations-
Workers have different perspective regarding work, they also have different
expectations that impact on effective communication and prevent staff from
communicating effectively. It creates personality conflicts among team and
resistance to change, which is not suitable for company growth in market. It is
all about how other workers perform and work differently, they usually want
other employees to work similarly to their own working style which is not
possible as it creates barrier to effective communication at workplace.

Cultural awareness helps to reduce barriers to effective communication,
increase chance of making more insightful and reduce opportunity of making

communication, it helps to enhance ways people interact with other group
members. It helps to improve interpersonal relationship, permits employees to
communicate with each other effectively without making differences based on
age, gender and culture. It influences business communication by increasing
connection of cultural understanding and knowledge. It is very important in
workplace because culture awareness enhance motivational level of staff and
also increase their productivity.
Strategies to overcome communication barriers-
Recognizant of unconscious bias is the only way to overcome culture
differences, people can accommodate this barrier by being sensitive towards
different cultures and a company can overcome this challenge by
understanding for example, encouraging cultural celebrations and different
religious customs. On one of the most effective method to overcome culture
barrier is diversity training. Management will assure there is an inclusion of
workers of different cultural background in work area. They can make plan of
diversity training that foster inclusive work culture and help to encourage team
members to work together. To overcome the second barrier which is
differences in expectation, workers management suggested seeking to
understand each other, take some time to comprehend other point of view
because it helps to make effective communication between all of them. While
working with Non British and British workers, employees look for common
ground not differences as it help to overcome this barrier.
