In the modern environment, every business follows the proper communication system despite
their location, ownership, size and the various factors that can make them different. In this
report, I used a secondary research methodology, in which I have taken three research journals
that help in reviewing the factors which affect the communication system at the workplace.
There are various factors that can negatively affect the communication system at the
workplace that is having a direct impact on the growth and their operations. It is quite
necessary to enhance the skills and knowledge of the employees by providing regular training
which helps in maintains effective communication. The report focuses on both poor and good
communication system and explains the skills and knowledge which is required for improving
the communication system.
Importance of good communication at the workplace
In the workplace, communication plays a very crucial role for companies to remain productive
and efficient. If the employees communicate effectively and follow proper communication
chain, the employees are able to experience the commitment, productivity and morale. Proper
communication channel help in establishing trust in between the employees, overall morale
and performance and resulting in the performance. Beside this effective communication
between the employees and team remains a valuable asset for the company.

Factors Affecting Effective Communication and Their Impacts
At the workplace, the effective communication system does not only minimize the conflict but
also maintain the morale and trust between the employees. Communication is considered as
the essential factor in employee’s engagement, team effectiveness, profitability, and
relationship with the client.
Argenti (2018), states that when the people are from a diverse background, the chance of
misunderstanding and wrong interaction becomes higher. The larger organization is having a
different kind of workforce. On the other hand, Mohammad & Ahmed (2019), Point out the
Educational and Intellectual Difference as the factor that affects the communication system of
the organization. The similarity in their qualification can help in holding up the feeling,
thinking, views, understandings and perception. Robles (2012), Outlined the affection of the
technology to the communication system. He states that the level of technology is having a
better communication system with respect to accuracy and speed. Poor technology can lead to
low morale and productivity.

company. The employees need to understand the struggle of every employee, duties of the
companies and their common goals and objectives. Communication can be improved by
effective time and the money that will worth the effort. Effective training also enhances the
communication channel of the company as employees start giving value to each other
(Angelini & García-Carbonell, 2018).

and analyzes the various factors that can affect communication behaviour. Poor
