Subject: Intercultural communication and effective workplace communication practice
Salutation: Dear, Respected
Main Body
I personally think that it will be the most aspiring opportunities for our company as our
finance team is planning to visit the branch of Nepal, which is my home country. The main
purpose of the report is to describe the intercultural communication between Australia and
Nepal. In addition, effective communication practices have also been discussed.
I would like to deliver some information and data that are related to the intercultural
communication of Nepal. Nepal is one of the secular countries and it has a unique blend of
Buddhism and Hinduism, which can be observed near the Kathmandu valley. The
intercultural communication between two religions are much of higher standard and
traditional houses of these people are much unique. It can be noticed that Nepal has a high
context of a communication standard, whereas Australia has a low context of communication.
It is because the communication standard of Nepal gives more emphasis on the direct
communication channel and in between human relations. On the other hand, more sensitivity
has been also flourished on non-verbal communication and people are also very sensitive in
my home country. On the other hand, people of Australia practices specific communication
along with a precise conversation with each other. At the same time, Australia is also much
poorer in decoding the body language and unspoken language. Alongside, Nepal is known as
the land of culture and a vast number of cultural festivals occur in this country.
In the case of the effective workplace communication practice, Nepal is much enhanced than
Australia as, within the organizational culture, the employees give clarification to their
managers about their work procedures. They also give answers in a descriptive manner as
well as in an objective manner. In this manner, the quality and standard of the workplace
enhanced in Nepal and the workers have also much experience and education in their
respective field.

and intercultural communication along with this Email.
With regards,

Discussion
The discussion evolves around the effective workplace communication practice which
has been described in relation to Nepal, where the finance team will visit for professional
purpose. The information will also help the Australian employees to develop their
communication skills and elevating the standard like Nepal. Moreover, they will also be
benefitted with the data provided as they have to talk with the local people after they will
reach Nepal ("Communication for Development", 2019).
Intercultural communication between Nepal and Australia
In the case of the Intercultural communication between the two countries, it can be
noted that Nepalese started arriving in Australia in the 1980s and till now about 73.7% of
Nepalese have arrived in Australia. It has strengthened the relationship between the countries
and the Nepalese also has become one of the fastest-growing immigrant population in
Australia. It can be recorded that 3800 people have reached until 2005, which has increased
to 43,500 in the last ten years. On the other hand, the immigrants who have been travelling to
Australia from Nepal are much educated and privileged. However the chance to migrate to a
foreign land is not available to the poor people of the country and thus it is recorded that 74.5
per cent of people travelled to Australia have done their higher qualifications as per the report
of 2011 ("Nepalese Culture - Nepalese in Australia", 2019).
Effective workplace communication practice
In case of the effective workplace communication practice, Nepal is far ahead of
Australia as they respect the religion and culture of another country and they also give and
receive feedback regarding this issue. The Nepalese also control their emotions and they also
clarify the whole scenario with the help of direct communication channel. However, in some
of the areas, Australia is lacking in effective workplace communication practices and the
people should acquire more wisdom for elevating their standard like Nepal ("Effective
Workplace Communication — Australian Internships", 2019).

Conclusion
It can be concluded that improvement for intercultural communication is based on the
understanding of the different cultures, social mores, standards as well as customs.
The sharing of the knowledge between the people of two countries can be also get
initiated with the help of effective communication practices
Australia is much more backward than Nepal in the intercultural communication and
effective communication practices and that is why they need to develop within the
restricted time frame. The reason behind the improvement of intercultural
communication is for upgrading the relationship between the two countries.
The people has many opportunities in adopting the differences within the restricted
time frame and it is needed for the people of Australia as they should get upgraded
culturally like the citizens of Nepal.
