INTRODUCTION
In beginning, this poster briefly describes the challenges and barriers to
effective communication, strategies for overcoming barriers of communication
and explain awareness of cultural influences on negotiation and communication
Barriers and challenges to effective communication
Workplace communication is very essential to organization like Mr
Fishy, it allows business to be more productive and help to operate each and
every operation effectively. In company due to Brexit, connections between non-
British and British workers is complicated, they work together but have different
perspective.
Lack of understanding between workers-
In company understanding between all the staff members is very
important, because without developing relation they cannot be able to
communicate with each other effectively. For example, in Mr Fishy firm non-
British and British people work together, but due to lack of understanding
between all of them they could not interact with each other which affect on their
performance and working abilities the most.
Lack of time to interact with staff-
Time is the most essential think, when people have time in workplace after
workload they interact with each other and communicate with its team members, but
on the other hand due to lack of timing during workload, staff cannot be able to
collaborate and communicate with others in group which is one of the effective
communication barrier.
Cultural barriers-
For example, in company staff belongs to different cultures as they have
different goals that create conflict among them. Cultural barriers is one of the common
challenge to effective communication that impact on workers productivity and
behaviour.
Language barriers-
While having global and diverse workforce in company, Mr Fish face language
barriers, it is one of the challenging situation that impact on environment around
workplace. Multi languages is ineffective, slow down process of work and create
misunderstanding between group of people's.

Strategies for overcoming communication barriers
Develop plan for group activity-
By developing plan for group activity, company will be able to
overcome communication barriers.
Through planning a training session, manager in Mr Fish company provide an
opportunity for all the staff members to communicate and interact with each
other and understand their feeling and thoughts.
Spend time with team members-
During playing games and participation in fun activities, employees
need to communicate with everyone, it support to reduce communication gap
and overcome communication barrier in workplace. At lunch break, all the
workers sit together and start group discussion, when people discuss
something other members normally include themselves in this discussion and
shared their thoughts and ideas to everyone.
Use of simple language-
In Mr Fish restaurant, manager addressed communication barrier in
meeting that impact on business growth as well as workers abilities. In order to
overcome this barriers, development of different strategies is essential.
Due to cultural barriers as well as language barriers, people do not
communicate with each other, they feel hesitate for interaction with other in
company.
Awareness of cultural influences on negotiation and communication
Culture influences how people, behave, communicate and think, it also impact
the way individuals interact and kinds of transactions they make. In organization worker
belongs to different culture, that have effect on negotiation. In restaurant, British and
non-British employees work together, they relate to different culture and norms which
create barriers of communication, it also create challenges for negotiation which
negatively impact on business growth and working environment. On the other side,
cross culture influence communication, it gives an individual its way of interpreting life
and seeing world.
Seeking for generating awareness among staff about cultural influences on
communication and negotiation, organization will create plan that is beneficial and
helpful to overcome above situations.
Through meet and greet program, organization can generate awareness among
people and provide opportunity to interact with existing and new applicants in work
areas. Training and development session is another method of interaction, during
training period people can share their ideas and new concept related to project. The
main purpose of these session is to build understanding and connection between all the
workers within business effectively.
CONCLUSION
From, above it has been concluded that cross culture and lack of timing are the
different types of barriers in effective communication which need to remove by
company by developing and creating various strategies which is beneficial for business.
