1ETHICAL DILEMMA
Ethical, social and political issues are closely associated. The ethical dilemma which I
have encountered as a manager in my workplace is related to toxic workplace culture. Such a
toxic has given me high levels of stress and insignificant amount of enthusiasm from my
supervisor.
My company in the past few months had fired 5 workers and has been still receiving
grievances regarding the founders being acting as intimidators. However, because of this
general culture of apprehension and fear within the personnel has spread severely. Lack of
openness within the workplace and fear of losing my job has led me to face certain kind of
ethical dilemma. I started facing dilemma of being on the right track or choosing correct
professional path. Before engaging into professional field, I considered organizations to be
highly principled and morale towards employees and appreciate efficiency of staffs.
However, subsequent to this experience of ethical dilemma while working in highly
toxic workplace, I have attained this understanding that I have started to focus on bad
situations into productive experience. Moreover, I have given significant amount of
importance to the lessons which I have obtained from the experience.
This knowledge gained from this experience with help me to outline exit strategy to
secure my specialized services. Furthermore, gathering positive insights from the ethical
dilemma will help me improve my professional developmental opportunities which could
help me to cultivate my skills in future. On the other hand, this approach will assist me to
conduct myself with truthfulness and always put the preeminent effort towards my roles and
accountabilities in my organization. Rather than fearing of losing my role in the organization,
my obtained knowledge will help me perceive regarding the way this current job is stepping
stone for my professional development.
