Types of discrimination takes place within organisations
As per the view point of Bobbitt-Zeher, (2011), there are different types of
discrimination takes place within firms. The discrimination is done on the basis of age, gender,
disability, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation etc. At the time of recruiting
employees, sometime, the interviewer reject an individual due to his/ her disability. This type of
discrimination is defined as treating individuals distinctly in employment due to their disability
or association with disabled person. Moreover, an another type of discrimination includes gender
based discrimination in which employees are treating differently because of their gender or
sexual orientation (Chou and Choi, 2011).
Relationship between workplace discrimination and employee motivation
As per the view point of Pizer and et. al., (2011), workplace discrimination and employee
motivation are interlink with each other. If discrimination takes place a within firm, it directly
influence the employee and their motivation level. There is a direct relation between both of
them. At workplace, when employees are discriminated on the basis of age, gender, disability,
nationality or any other aspect, their motivation level declines as employer is not provided them
with the similar opportunities that other people gets. This results in declining motivation of
employees (Jones and Williams, 2015).
Impact of workplace discrimination on employee's morale and organisational productivity
According to the views of Abhijeet Pratap, (2018), discrimination is always painful as the
organisation in which discrimination prevails, it declines the morale of workers and results in
declining productivity and image of organisation. Discrimination hurts the employees and kills
the productivity by increasing conflicts (HOW DISCRIMINATION HARMS WORKPLACE
PRODUCTIVITY?, 2018). It distracts the employees from their job roles and make them feel
inferior which gives rise to complex conditions which are not favourable for company. If
employees are discriminated on the basis of their age, gender, or any other aspect, they are not
able to perform their duties well which ultimately harms the productivity of organisation.

Research Approach and Methodologies
Research Methodologies are termed as the specific procedures that are utilized to
determine, select, process and examine the information regarding a particular topic. There are
two types of research including qualitative and quantitative. In this, qualitative research method
is used in which non-numerical data is collected over the particular topic. Both, primary and
secondary data collection methods will be use that helps in gathering relevant information on
topic. Inductive and deductive are two types of research approaches among which inductive
research approach is selected in context of this research as this helps researcher in gathering
appropriate information and drawing valid conclusion (Mackey and Gass, 2015). For collecting
primary data, questionnaire will be prepare. Random sampling technique will be use to select
sample size of 40 respondents.
