Background to the topic
Equality and diversity plays the crucial role in terms to bring competitive advancement
within enterprise (Butterby and Collins, 2019). On the other hand, diversity defined as range of
cultural, generational and ethical difference that exist within workplace. Henceforth, equality and
diversity is term that is relevant for all workplace and this leads to enhance brand recognition
(Equality & Diversity in the Workplace, 2018.).
The present research proposal is based on topic as to undertake the investigation that
leads to mitigate the workplace discrimination. Thus, report is based on business activity as
Tesco, It is British multinational groceries retailer that engaged in supermarket chain.

diversity within enterprise is to ensure that the organisational leaders serve as role models and
they plays crucial role in terms to undertake business activities smoothly.
Therefore, the main purpose of research is to identify the effectiveness of the strategies
used to minimise workplace discrimination. Also, it will help in providing insight about different
kinds of strategies implemented within Tesco.

strategies that can aids to prevent the workplace discrimination. By providing training
opportunities and building effective firm policies can be effective way to reduce the
discrimination. Also, the enterprise needs to develop the clear and comprehensive policy that
address the unlawful discrimination within entity.
Equality and diversity can be termed out as the significant drivers that aids to undertake

so that aims and objectives to research study can be accomplished. Thus, data needs to be
analysed so that research can be collected in accurate and precise. In this, thematic analysis will
be used to undertake the research study effectively. This will aids to the systematic presentation

berm ade a single team building that cannot focuses on the single interest. First and foremsot
strategy is to treated the each and every employees equal. Firms must be make sure that the
polices that are impemented to the employees ate up to date as well as everyone is following the
policies.It also extremly crucial that the employers to train the employees properly.Managers and
emplpoyees needs to be familar with the lwas of discrimation as it assit to assure that during an
interview between a cirrent employee and manager that subjected focuses on the discmation
could not be approached. Various laws that managers and focuses on the family Medical leave
act,Disabilites act, preganacy Discirmation act,age discrimation, Equal pay act and many more.
As per the view Barber, (2015) the person who hired the employees when firing the
person have a witness of giving warning to the employees regarding terminating .It assit later if a
person comaplints later regarding discrimation on the base of race, gender, religion and many
more. Also the polices of the firm is cosdier as n uncomforatble topic regarding sexual
harrasment within employees. Firms must be clear about what defines the sexual harrasment and
employees are well aware that what are the consequneces if the employees are breaching any
policy. It is cruical to treat the staff members within the same regarding claims of harrasment
and at the same time take all claims very seriously.Also firms have the written policy of
termaintiob that describes about how and why staff members can be terminated.

hiring decsions regarding the specifuic Job such as they must select the the[erson who
