Introduction
This paper discusses on the “Equality and Diversity” in the work environment. Equality
is based on the equal opportunity given for every employee irrespective of colour, religion,
gender, ability, disability, community, age and nationality. Diversity is based on cultural
background, religion, sex, language, ethics, education, skills(Klein, 2016). The equality and
diversity areessentialas it unites, strengthens and develop an individual or a group of an
individual without any discrimination, it educates individual to treat fairly and equally in social,
education, professional and cultural-based. Promoting equality and diversity in an organisation,
education, and social area will encourage to lead the life with respect and fairness(Wahab,
&Jaafar, 2018).

Equality and Diversity
Equality is something when anyone treats an individual or a group of people equally
irrespective of their race, gender, age, community, religion, disability or any belief. There should
not be any biasedness based on any sections. Diversity helps to carry the equality process among
all the individual to work widely across anywhere around the globe with respect, dignity,
recognition without being discriminate in any basis and any field of work, education, culture and
society.

“Equality and diversity in the workplace” help an individual and group of individual to
work equally irrespective of their position or rank or level in the organisation(Brown, 2017). In
the workplace, equal opportunity is given to each individual or employee to achieve their goal.

Yes, the image indicates that there are an equality and diversity among themselves this
means each one of the employees has equal opportunity to present his or her views in front of
everyone present in the discussion room. Nobody is subjected to discriminate anyone's opinion
in terms of their race, physical disabilities, language, community, sex and age. All employees
have cultural knowledge about the workplace and presenting themselves on their abilities. Each

However, it can be concluded that in the workplace, each employee has to be given equal

workplace. Discrimination can lead to discouragement and a high retention rate for the
organisation. Maintaining the social and cultural character in the organisation will build work life
of an employee.
