QUESTION 1
As it has been observed that some employees have decided to exclude the persons who
are not Christian's from the event planned for the Christmas eve. All the employees that are not
Christian's are feeling quite disappointed and excluded as they cannot be a part of the Christmas
eve. But, it is wrong and I am thankful that someone brought me this news. JKL industries does
not support any sort of discrimination as according to the Equality Act 2010, it has been clearly
stated that there should be no sort of discrimination in any work place. So, JKL focuses on
maintaining the same by supporting no sort of discrimination, whether it is based on colour, race,
sex etc. Various policies and procedures can help quite more the JKL industries about the ethical
values and the cultural diversity along with the ethical values as well so that all the employees
can realise the fact that all are equal and in JKL industries, there will be no such activity in which
a specific group or team will not include (Hagedoorn and Wang, 2012.). Every member of the
JKL industry will be included in every function of the company. I will organise a session in
which all the team members and employees will be available, then I will discuss about this
matter and make everyone understand that each employee is equal and the company will treat
everyone equal as it is like another family. Working in a work place that is happy and healthy is
considered not less than a family.
QUESTION 2
I have decided to meet the team directly that by considering what, means on what basis
they decided the non involvement of the employees for the Christmas (Hirsh and Lyons, 2010).
When all the employees are working in a company, it is the responsibility of everyone to take
care of each other and support each other. BY excluding a specific group such as the team mates
did by excluding the non Christian's from the Christmas eve is a negative concept and throws a
bad impact on the organisational behaviour of the company. It also affects the processing of the
JKL industry. So, to understand that all are equal in a company and no one should do this type of
discrimination, it is very ensure to have a better level of interaction as when all the employees of
the JKL industry will interact with each other and share a positive bond, then in that cases, no
one can think of excluding any one from some part or special function of the company. It will
make the excluded ones disappointed and they will feel like they are not important for the

industry and are being treated in a very bad way that they have not been included in the
Christmas eve. The consequences of such behaviour can cause conflicts in the JKL industries so
it is better to avoid such because when there will be conflicts in the work place, employees will
find it difficult to work in that environment.
QUESTION 3
As I am a new manager in the JKL industries, I do not have sufficient contacts with the
people here such as with the managers, mentors, networks etc. but is not good. So, for making
contacts, I have to put in some efforts as employees have a special respect for managers and they
may not approach me directly (Van Laer and Janssens 2011). So, I have to take a further step as I
can organise some sessions for meeting with them. By this way, they can be introduced to me
and can also share their ideas and issues with me. Making contacts with the internal and external
bodies is important because in any case, the JKL industries may want the help of anyone. It may
be financially or any product related as well. It is because the company is working with
supplying the spare parts and small trucks to the people and various industries. So, in case of
supplying or any related issue, I must be capable enough to tackle the situation and for that, I will
be needing contacts because at that time, they will help me. It will also help JKL industry in
growing into a huge network as as there will be many contacts, it will automatically increase the
popularity rate of the company.
QUESTION 4
For maintaining the internal and external relationships, it is very important to stay in
touch with them on a regular basis. Like JKL industries deal with the supplying of the spare parts
and small trucks to the people who need it and various other industries. So, it is not important
that the manager will contact them only at the time of requirement, instead they can maintain
their contacts with such people by greeting them on a weekly or monthly basis (Bobbitt-Zeher,
2011). These small efforts helps in making the relationships even more better and the person also
considers that they are important for them. For maintaining the internal relations, it is important
to learn about the clients as understanding them is a very better way to check how to deal with
them. Maintaining proper interactions with them on a continous basis is very essential and plays
a very important role in maintaining the relationship. Is some employee is wrong, then in that
case, teaching them about the valuable skills is important. Sharing the own knowledge is also a
very important thing as it helps in giving and sharing the own knowledge with the employees

also makes them more efficient and this however focuses on maintaining the relationships within
