workplace, healthy workers can result into more productive firm. There are many firms which are
adopting some changes in their health and safety practices across the world and are emphasizing on
including physical fitness and wellness courses for their workers (Seaton and et.al., 2019). Supporting
workers in establishing as well as maintaining healthy lifestyle offers important advantages both to
the employers and the employees. Considering this, the main aim of the current essay is to evaluate
some of the benefits of health promotion in the workplace. Further, the essay will also highlight the
importance of health promotion and protection in workplace.
MAIN BODY
Articulating about the workplace wellness, it is nothing but a healthcare reform that works. Only
workplace health promotion stands out as the enduring answer for upholding the workers well and
healthy in the first place. Health and wellness have a crucial role to play in the success of the business
corporations. Most of the firms have recognized the significance of goof health along with wellness in
the workforce. More and more firms are executing physical fitness plus wellness into the structure of
their firm. With the augmenting proof helping the health promotion programs in the workplace, more
and more organizations than ever are executing health and wellness strategies for reducing the
injuries, health care costs and for enduring period of disability (Jia, Fu and Gao, 2018).
As per Hymel and et al. (2018), there are different reason whereof firms should make sure protection
along with safety of the employees. firstly, in the current era, there has been rise in the numbers of
chronic illnesses in almost every part of the world and it has been anticipated that these illnesses are
more likely to cause added burden specifically when the diseases consist of conditions such as
diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. The second reason is, around half of the population in
UK and USA are suffering from Chronic health illness and from that group almost 50% of them have
variety of chronic situations. According to Bandura (2018), it has been discovered that almost eighty
percent of the medical expenditures are spent in the treatment as well as care of the chronic illnesses.
According to Wong (2019), it has been claimed that near about thirty six percent of the adult
population in UK are not in a position to carry out their daily activities which demand numerical,
reading and writing skills. Furthermore, a research work is being performed by Magnavita (2018) who
designated ageing employees and their health promotion in a qualitative manner. Additionally, the
study has also elaborated the importance of workplace, occupational health factors and individual, the
influence of health promotion and the contribution of co-partners in augmenting the health of the
workers who are seniors. All these helps in creating a base for health promotion model. Further, it has

environment. Promotion of the health in the workplace suggests prevention, minimization as well as
eradication of the health hazards at the firm, promotion as well as maintenance of the workability and
generating working approaches, work environment and work. In addition to this, well-being quality of
life and health encompasses an enhanced lifestyle habits for the workers, safer and secure working
atmosphere and augmented picture of the working environment (Mackay and et.al., 2015). All this
helps in increasing higher level of production, revenues and savings for the business organizations.
These are some of the examples which are believed to be connected to intervention in health
promotion in workplace.
Health promotion in the workplace offers advantages not only to the firm, however it provides

health in the workplace generates situations that helps and explain the best possible health for the
