The cultural and the ethnic issues is one of the major issues that cause a problem in the
overall behavior with the children in the society. The behavioral factors have a number of
different effects on the overall interaction patterns between the children and the educators. I have
an open opinion about the different social interactions and behaviors in the society. The social
interactions and the behavioral patterns help in ascertaining the course of action in the different
situations that the individuals face living in a society. The different sociocultural aspects and the
acculturation of the individual helps them to identify with the society. I being an Australian of a
urban descent have a urban upbringing. My social acculturation was helped by the upbringing
and the social surroundings that I have had growing up in the society. The society itself is a
multicultural society which helps in the inculcation of the multicultural ideologies. I have seen
and understood a number of cultures and have a certain bias against the oriental societies because
of their closed upbringing and the orthodox thinking among the parents and children alike in
those societies. It is limitation in itself as it makes it tough for me to communicate with the
people of the oriental origin without being biased towards their ideology which apparently may
be portrayed as racism in certain cases. My social awareness is limited because I am not aware of
the cultural diversity which exists around the world which makes me relatively negligent about
their ethics and values. I intend to improve myself by improving my social interactions in the
society. Reflection helps me understand my flaws and improve my socio-cultural knowledge in
the society to mitigate my issues.

Despite my personal bias in a workplace the situations are very much different. When
working in professional environment for the overall development of a person I can keep my
personal biases aside and interact with the people as per my discretion regarding the different
aspects of development of the society. I understand that the society we live in is a multicultural
and the diverse society and the various people living in this environment are entitled to their own
rights in their beliefs and social values. In the work place I can use my understanding and the
tolerance of the different belief and use then to understand the ideologies and the understanding
of my colleagues, the parents and the children. There are anumber of different work models
which can be used in the current environment for the development of the different ideas in the
society. The workplace safety can be ascertained by following the various norms and the
regulation given under the 2011 WHS act of Australia and the WHO Healthy Workplace
Framework, which helps in establishing the different ideologies in the environment. One of the
important aspects relating to ensuring the workplace safety is the assurance of a proper work
environment and healthy workplace for proper productivity. The respect to diversity also
focusses on giving the due respect to the different people working and the people interacting
with. There may exist a number differences and lingual and sociocultural barrier which will
hinder the overall conversation of the people with me. Overcoming these barrier is my prime
responsibility for the achievement of proper communication channel which will help in the
overall development of the individual or childe. Firstly I would be respectful; and polite with the
person with whom I am integrating as they may or may not know English affecting the effective
communication between the different people in the society. positive body language like smiling
showing interest and big calm and collected while interacting with the people will help in the

development of positive relations between the individual and the overall workplace the person is
in. In case of language barrier a number of processes can be used like taking help of some other
educator who knows the language. Other than that assistance can also be asked from the different
interpreters in case of extreme lingual disparity. The interpreter must be trusted person who
should not alter the information that is being shared between the two people.

There are a number of issues that arise when two people are communicating and there
may exist a number of barrier. In think in the society the barrier to communication which exists
at the largest scale is the stereotypes that exist about a certain caste or creed in the society. other
than that there are language barrier and the difference in the accent among the different people
from the different cultural backgrounds and ethnicities which affect overall communication
channel between them. The cultural differences may lead to a behavior being acceptable in one
and unacceptable in another leading to major misunderstandings between the different people.
The social diversity and the cultural difference lead to the differences in the ideological
upbringing of the individuals and inculcates among them stereotypes about each other which is
the major cause of the misunderstanding among them. One of the best strategies will be to use
social gatherings as platforms for improving the communications channels and improving the
social understanding among the people in the society.

Working in a diverse environment in the society one has to face a number I have faced a
number of problems and adapted to the different situations gradually evolving in the process. I
have gradually become more tolerant towards the different practices that the individuals have in

the society. I have also become more understanding towards the different behaviors that the
people have based on their belief systems and the social acculturation. This has helped me gain
more friends from the different cultures which has made me understand the diversity in which
the different cultures survive in this society. it has also made me improve my work place
relations ships and have a more healthier work environment and get positive reinforcement. It
has greatly changed my perception as I have gained a ew way to understand the different people
in the society based o their ideological and the cultural causes behind their behaviors in the
society. this has also helped my ideological improvement regarding the different issue that the
people themselves face while living in a multicultural society and I can help them better.
