HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT 2
Introduction
Human resource management is an organisation function that helps the company to
operate effectively in the market. As per my opinion, the main purpose of human resource
management is to maximise the productivity of the company by performing the important
function of the organisation. Human resource management plays the important role in the
strategic business partner by performing the function related to the employees. There are
different roles perform by the human resource such as employee relations, health and safety,
recruitment, employment law compliance and staff training and development. It has been
seen that the employees are the main asset of the company and these roles are directly related
with the employees. The role of HRM improves the performance of the employees and helps
to gain the competitive advantage in the market. Competitive advantage is the main business
strategy of any company (Brewster, 2017).
In this report, the discussion is made on the human resource management of the
company. Issues and the responsibilities of human resource management will be discussed in
this report.
Application to the Workplace
Creating a culture for a safe and healthy Work Environment
Creating a safe and healthy environment is the one of the main responsibilities of HR.
The employees are facing many issues during the job which directly affect the performance
of employees. It is the responsibility of human resource manager to develop a positive
environment at the workplace so that the employees face less issue and focus on the healthy
work environment. The manager always has to appreciate the employees as per their
performance by providing the rewards and incentives. Apart from this, manager has to reduce

the conflict between the employees by reducing the biasness among employees. Healthy
environment improve the performance of the employees, which is a beneficial factor for the
company in the terms of profit (Reiche, Harzing, & Tenzer, 2018).
Training and development
Human resource manager practice states that the HR manager of the company should
invest in training and development of the employees. It is necessary for the company to train
the employees in order to maximise the productivity. As the technology increases, it is the
responsibility of the manager to train the employees so that they can use the machines
properly (Bratton, & Gold, 2017).
Security
It is the main practice of the human resource manager because safety is the first
priority for the employees. There is a social contract between the employees and the
organisation in which the employees are responsible to give their best towards their
responsibility. The company also has to provide something in return of their work like
employment security. Employment security encourages the employees to retain in the
company for long time.
Information sharing
Information sharing is also a human resource practices which motivate the employees
to take participation in the activities of the company. HR manager of the company has to
adopt the open communication strategy in which they can share all the information related to
the business.

Compensation
Compensation is the main practice due to which the employees are motivated to stay
with the company for long time and they also perform well towards their assigned
responsibility. The manager has to provide the fair value of their services.
Demographics and employee concerns
Generation at work
The manager faces the issue at the workplace due to generation gap. Nowadays, the
company hire the youth in the large number in the low pay. Somewhere, it is beneficial for
the company but the managers loose the experience employees which maximise the
productivity. Old generation also face the issue at the workplace due to developing the
technology. As per my opinion, the company can reduce this issue by providing the training
to the old employees (Collings, Wood, & Szamosi, 2018).
Interpersonal conflict
There are many events happen in the organisation due to which the conflict is raised
such as Biasness and many others. The conflict between the members affects the performance
of employees. I think this problem can reduce by creating a healthy environment at the
workplace.
Low Motivation and Job Satisfaction
The employees face the many issues due to which the employees are getting
demotivated and their performances are also fall down. Low motivation and Job satisfaction
is the issue which is face by the employees and failing down their performance is an issue for
the employees. The company can reduce this issue by adopting the incentive strategy.

Work Life Balance
The employees are working for the office for 10-12 hours due to which they did not
give time to themselves and their families. The employees face the issue not even at
workplace but also in the real life. This issue can be changed by organising the family events
and for reducing the working hours (Human Resources, 2018).
