ABOUT
The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organization
(NACCHO) embodies the aspirations and self-determination of indigenous
groups.
NACCHO is the domestic highest body for aboriginal health and well-being
problems comprising 143 aboriginal Community controlled services
(AACCHSs) across the nation. It has a background which stretches back to a
1974 Albury conference.
In 1997 NACCHO was financed by the Federal Government to create a
Canberra Secretariat that would significantly enhance ability for aboriginal
peoples participating in ACCHS in the creation of National Health Policy.

to note both the internal and external needs of the organization.
