Paramount Eco Hub: Workplace Safety and Health Management System

This research proposal focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the Workplace Safety and Health (WHS) management system and compliance within Paramount Eco Hub Pte Ltd. It identifies current problems such as a lack of qualified workers and cost-cutting measures impacting WHS standards. The research objectives include ensuring WHS compliance, identifying cost-reduction methods without compromising safety, and evaluating the effectiveness of the WHS framework. Abstract
Workplace safety and health consists of legal requirements, registrations and certifications,
surveillance, work injury compensation and accident reporting. The obligations in relation to
WHS have to be properly understood for the purpose of enhancing workplace safety. It is
compulsory for organizations to have proper WHS framework to ensure legal compliance and
employee protection. The research will be carried out for the purpose of ensuring the compliance
of WHS standards taking into consideration perception of health and safety measures in the
Company and to find out ways how cost can be reduced while no compromise is done with
respect to the health and safety measures. This will help the company to known how to ensure
and evaluate effectiveness of a WHS framework

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1 Background
Workplace safety and health consists of legal requirements, registrations and
certifications, surveillance, work injury compensation and accident reporting. The obligations in
relation to WHS have to be properly understood for the purpose of enhancing workplace safety.
It is compulsory for organizations to have proper WHS framework to ensure legal compliance
and employee protection.
1.2 Current problem
For much construction employer safety is a concern and lack of qualified and
experienced workers. This situation is making it difficult to enhance the standards. The economy
is being slowed down by greater completion for projects and this is causing the constriction
companies to cut short WHS amities form the employees.
1.3 Research objectives
 To ensure the compliance of WHS standards taking into consideration perception of
health and safety measures in the Company
 To find out ways how cost can be reduced while no compromise is done with respect to
the health and safety measures
 To find out how the effectiveness of a WHS framework can be ensured and evaluated
