INTRODUCTION
The successful business project can be made by adopting and implementing the appropriate
process in the project management from where the company can be able to increase their
productivity and growth at definite level. The organisation named Morrison a supermarket
located at United Kingdom is required to conduct a small project of Transformation of the
workplace where they have to adopt innovative digital transformation for making the company
grow and develop successfully (Fesenko, Shakhov, Fesenko, Bibik and et.al., 2018).
The present report will illustrate the brief description about the challenges and issues the
company is facing during the transformation. In a project planning, it is important to consider as
it will define the scope of the project and mention a Gantt chart and work breakdown structure to
track out the activities in definite manner. It also includes a project management plan, primary
and secondary research, findings and reflective practise which will provide the relevant
justification and solution of the issue. In the research, the primary and secondary both research
will be conducted which will provide the enough knowledge and information about the business
and project.

A project management plan is a document which describe that how the project is
executed, monitored and subjected from where the project can be successful. The project
management plan includes the different outline such as scope, goals, budget, timeline and
deliverables of the project from where the project can be keep going and can provide the
effective and successful results (Tonchia, 2018). The performance of the project has been
measured against the performance measurement standards which are included in project
management planning. Project management plan covers following aspects:

management planning as it describes the overall project budget and
finance within a project which are supported by long term funds and
finance. The effective management of the costing will ensure that the
project is on the correct path and can help to accomplish the goals. The

Scope The scope of the research for the company are to understand the concept
of workplace transformation and implement the innovative digital
workplace in at the Morrison in order to obtain the effective results and
outcome and can develop the company at successful level. With the
effective research about this topic, the company will able to identify
challenges and obstacles faced by the company in order to maintain

Time Time is the most precious element and factor to be considered where
total time in collection of data, sampling, assessment and charts and
reports will be approximately 2 months.
Quality In this project, the researcher will use the primary and secondary
research to the conduct the appropriate form of information and data. In
the primary data, the questionnaire will be conducted and while the
secondary research will be collected through reliable sources.
Communication In order to complete the project efficiently in the set time, the researcher
is required to be in proper interaction (Andrei, Casu-Pop, Gheorghe and
et.al., 2019).
Risk The risk is always involved in the project management within time and
cost in the project where the false form of data collection will be unable
the research to accomplish the investigation in proper manner.
Resources The researcher requires various resources in order to ample the research

Initiation: The project initiation simply refers as where the project manager has to implement

at last the project closure. This all steps have to be covered where the planning is the most
important thing to be considered by the project manager at the initial planning stage.
Planning: The term planning means collection of the resources and information
which has to be used while the project from which the company project can be able
to become successful. This process will include the documentation, proposal
making and creation of aims and goals to set the appropriate target and can put the

efforts to accomplish the goals in definite manner. In any project implementation,
the planning is the most important thing a company needs to consider from where
the upcoming risk can be identified and can plan to overcome and reduce that
issues in particular manner (Tereso, Ribeiro, Fernandes, Loureiro and et.al., 2019).
Execution: The execution defines as implementation where it is the stage to apply
and implement the planning which has been done in definite manner. However, the
project has been required to adopt the process of monitoring and controlling and
also have to do adjustment of the task should be done in this stage. For example,
communication between the team members and managing the budget effectively
from where the company’s project can be initiated and executed in definite
manner.
Closure: The final stage is closure which means stage refers to ending of the
project. Now, at this stage, the project manager is required to evaluate and analyse
the final result and outcome of the effectiveness of the project. Along with this, the
analysis of the project performance is also required to be done where it will help
the project to be able to get the effective result and can solve the issue by putting
more efforts and ideology throughout the project management.

Digital transformation of Unilever Plc
The plan of Unilever Plc in order to digitally transform their organization into a digital
space included the implementation of technology and data analytics for the purpose of making a
relationship with their customers directly (Kane, and et.al 2021). Unilever Plc. automated around
700 process with respect to their operations within the organization which helped the can in
saving their time as well as cost. For the same, the organization introduced a number of training
and development programs within the organization that helped the employees in upgrading their
skills and enhancing their working efficiency within the company. Unilever Plc. also made

This was helpful in increasing the sales of the company. Therefore, it can be stated that the

Recently, the Sainsbury has implemented the use of artificial intelligence within their
supply chain management. The Sainsbury has employed the use of blue yonder in order to
increase the strength of their supply chain management within the organization. The
implementation of the same helped the company in enhancing their digital control tower, space
management, macro space planning, barn management, workforce and yard management of the
company (Meske, 2019). The innovation and enhancement within these regions of an enterprise
helps an organization in systematising their supply chain management, increasing the workforce
engagement within the company and thus, enhancing the productivity of the employees within
the company and helps them in increasing their profits.

In order to transform the business operations of the Morrison there are certain key points
which should be taken into consideration. First of all, the company should conduct research
within the organization among the workforce as well as conduct a market research which allows
the company in determine the major areas which needs improvement with respect to the digital
transformation (Oeij, and et.al 2019). Also, the company should make effective use of the
feedbacks and should promote the use of feedback culture within the organization. The

From the graphical representation it has been summarised that majority of the member believe
that digital transformation rises the cyber-attack chances, while 4 members stated that company
can encountered the legal risk. Other respondents which is 3 stated that because of digital
transformation it can increase the concern regarding employee privacy. While 3 believes that all
are potential risk for the company.
Recommendation
From the above it is analysed that digital transformation (DT) of the workplace is need of
contemporary world thus for the Morrison following recommendations are as follows:
Unlock the data: Data is most important it work as a base for DT, it is important for the
organisation to unlock the opportunities regarding data as to initiate with gathering the reliable
and accurate data to utilise it for better purpose, thus it helps in strategy formation which can be
further deploy for successful digital transformation of workplace (Jackson, 2019).
Embrace change: Point which is need to be consider that DT is not about implementing the
fancy tools and sophisticated system but it is also about the organisational change in culture and
behaviour. Thus ultimately it is challenging for the business thus in such Morrison company
needs to proceed with the processes which are to first identify the stakeholders and then
implement the transparency at workplace and allow employee to be part of such process, there
should be open communication channel so that it helps in generating the better ideas.

Thus with this firm can easily modernise their legacy approaches and able to accelerate
the better and productive workflows, strengthen the security which leads to increase the
profitability (Wengler, Hildmann and Vossebein, 2021). With this Morrison company will be
able to enhance their data collection which is efficient for designing their product and services,
they can also strengthen their resource management in order to deliver better outcomes. Another
benefit which they can get is consumer satisfaction as with DT company will be able to deliver
the services which fulfils the consumer requirement it ultimately enhance the customer
experience that is important for driving better revenues (Brunetti and et.al 2020).
STEP 4 REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
In this research project we were able to develop the understanding of the ways in which
they are able to reflect upon the project and the process that are considered to be the key
outcomes which are essential for the transformation of the business. This project topic was
selected for the project because it aimed to the strategy that is has been considered to be
understood in the ways in which the company would be able to overcome the factors that are
given as the part of the resources. I think that this project has been very successful from the
analysation of the factors that are given resources and time that we had for the preparation. It is
also said to be the outline of this topic in which the success of the project was considered to be
the determination of the objective that are considered to be prepared for the ways in which they
help in the development of the successful understanding. The change that has been shown by us
in which project according to be helps the organization to transform very effectively (Soluk and
et.al., 2021). This is also said to be the very essential for the understanding of the
recommendations of the given strategies that has helped in the measurement of the strategies of
the organization.
The recommendations that we were able to provide from this given project was also
considered to be the participation for the ways in which it is able to gain the neutral aspect to the
ways in which the employees and their perspectives are able to understand. This is also the
considered part of the objectives for the frame that helps the research to be able to spot the clear
and provided overview for the individuals. The objectives which I have framed were considered
to be very spot on that help me provide even a better overview of the ways in which the
technology allows the organization to develop change. I was able to recognize the major

challenges which my project would be facing this was the factor that was the key towards my
influence that was said to be the major concern with the growth of the opportunities for the
project. During the framing of the literature review we required a lot of time in order to make a
detailed study that was essential for the understanding of the secondary sources. It is considered
to be the factor which helps in the management of the negative impacts that has its own affects
on the learning practices.
The time which has been taken for the preparation of this project was also considered to
be very short that had its negative impacts on the learning. It was said that the time for this
project has been proved to be very costly due to which it was able to generate limitation of the
money and time. The use of different software in this organization were able to improve the
results of the outcomes. This is also considered to be the project that has been able to be the key
factor which was very effective in the development of the practices that allowed the organization
to grow the personal knowledge and understanding. It was also said that in this research project
about the organization the change the performance being good was the key towards the ways in
which it was able develop positive feedback that was said to enhance the performance and also
help in the management of the regards that the project has found. My team has been considered
to be very effective in the communication which was our strength during the preparation of this
project. The success of the project was also achieved by us from the motivation that we needed
to help work towards the different forms of continuous professional development.
This project was prepared with the use of qualitative methodology which is the
methodology that is used for the participant observation or given case studies for the generation
of the results from the selected narrative. This is also the descriptive account that is able to set
the practice that is said to be the sociologists that helps in the method that are considered to be
the factor which helps in the adoption of the ways in which study can be conducted. It has been
said to be the key that is able to analyse the key understanding of the effective operations to be
taken during the preparation of this project. From this research we have been able to research
data that is very essential and also effective for the management of the performance that is
considered to be the key to the development of the understanding about the digital transformation
in the organization (Senyo, Liu and Effah, 2019). The focus of the organization is also said to be
the practice that is said to be the ways in which they are able to gain the competitive advantage

and also be able to develop the operations which are said to be the key ways to gain the
competitive advantages that are required.
CONCLUSION
From the above finding it has been concluded that the transformation of the business
digital is very important in order to be able to develop the organization. The focus of the
understanding is also said to be the factor which is able to adopt the new strategies that help the
business in understanding the key needs of bringing the change in an organization. This research
was able to find the importance of this study and address the ways in which the business can
transform its operations with the means of digital technology. The focus of this organization has
been on the number of other factors which are analysed with the help of primary and secondary
data. It is said to be the key factor that is used for the overcoming the strategies and their effects
in the management of the ways the organization can gain the innovation that is required.

What problems you have encountered, and what steps taken to address them?
- Initially, the researcher faced difficulty in formulating the aim, objectives and the research
questions for the purpose of conducting the research. In order to solve this issue, the
researcher took help and guidance from the peers and other researcher scholars for the
purpose of determining how the topic of the research is selected and how the aim of the
study is formulated. The researcher also took the guidance from the tutor in order to
check whether the topic, aim and the objectives of the research are appropriate or not.

What problems you have encountered, and what steps taken to address them?
- The researcher also faced difficulty in collection of data from primary sources. Due to the
outbreak of COVID 19 and the imposition of lockdown, many organizations were still
operating remotely. Many employees within organization were working from home and
due to which it was difficult to reach to the management of the company to conduct a
survey. However, in order to conduct the survey, the researcher took contact details of the
employees and provided them with online forms so that they could the questions
remotely.

- Lastly, the research faced challenges with managing the time. This means it was difficult
to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe and carry out all the functions
effectively. However, in order to accomplish the given task within the stipulated time
frame, the researcher tried to pre plan and organize tasks in advance that needs to be
carried out.

Yes the work was able to achieve the aims and objectives of this research project hence, it was

What aspects of your development process do you think worked well and why? Evaluate
all aspects of the project (e.g. initial research, concept development, development
process, presentation, etc.) from a range of perspectives.
This is also the key aspects of the ways in which the development process of the organization
work as it helps in the ways in which the business work. I was able to undertake certain action
which contributed towards the success of the research
What problems emerged during the project and how were they tackled? Was there
timely identification of issues and resolution during the project process?
The problem of time and money was the key issue related to this project. These issues were
related to the ways that helped the analysation of the ways in which the research analysis.
What did you learn from undertaking the project?
I was able to learn that for the project proper team work and resources are very essential.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of your process that you have identified?
The strengths of the process of this project is directly related to the ways in which the business is
able to gain the competitive advantages that is essential. The weakness was the lack of the
resources that are required.
How could your process improve for the future?
In the future this research can be improved with the use of better projects such as SPSS.
