INTRODUCTION
• The business environment is dynamic and there is direct
impact of external factors on working of the organisation. It is
important to note that there are various changes that a company
has to make in order to deal with the changes in external
market.
• At the present time Covid-19 is an external event that has
transformed the workplace. It is a pandemic situation that
caused lock-down in the world.

Project aims and objectives
 To analyse the impact of external event on Tesco
 To determine the transformation actions taken by Tesco
 To evaluate the impact of such transformation of the
workforce of Tesco.

Literature Review
 According to Soon and et.al., 2021, It is necessary to note that Covid-19 has impacted
the overall performance of the company. It is seen that there was situation of lock-down
faced by the company.
 It is important to note that Tesco offers around 90,000 different products. It is seen that
there is need to know that the products offered by Tesco are essential for the customers.
So they were in need of the products that are offered by the company.

 Cost: It is necessary to identify the cost and budget of the project. It is necessary for Tesco to know about the
expenditure that they have to bear in order to bring transformation. It is one of the vital component in the project
plan. The budget for this project will be £600.
 Scope: The project has wide scope because it includes discussion related to transformational actions taken by a
company to deal with Covid-19. It is important to note that it will help other companies as well to know about the
situation and use suitable actions.

impact of external event that may arise. It helps the company to
be prepared and take suitable actions to deal with the situation.
 The company must assure that all the employees are safe and
secure. The company take care of their employees at the time of
work from home as well.

Reflection
 I am glad that I have given opportunity to conduct this research. This research
helped me to understand various new concepts and theories.
 It is seen that I was scared in the starting while doing this research. I have
analysed that transformation is important part of an organisation. It is important
to note that there is need to use appropriate research methodology.

CONCLUSION
 It is concluded that it is necessary to take suitable
transformation action s that will help the company to
cope up with the situation.
 The aims and objectives are stated in the initial part of
this report. Afterwards review of literature is done in
order to know about the topic and conduct research
effectively.
