Word Bank is an international institution that provides grants and loans to government
of countries that are developing or poor in order to pursue capital projects. World Bank in
recent times can be called a community based organisation as it can be seen that the World
Bank has a huge role in making positive improvements in the society like health of the
society, well-being of people, proper function of industries and many more that aim in
improving the overall functioning of the society by providing them funds and loans.

In the year, 2015 international development was visible in terms of education and it
had been seen that UNESCO had come up with an agenda that was known as Education 2030
that would work on enhancing the quality of education. The OECD countries during that time
were already working on extending their PISA assessment so that they could pass on to the
countries with low and middle income so that the quality of education could be successfully
measured. Auld, Rappleye and Morris (2019) state that the OECD countries through PISA-D
wanted to ensure that education assessment was possible in majority of the underdeveloped
countries and aimed at working in Cambodia by international assessments. It has been seen
that OECD along with the World Bank with policies have managed to govern the education
system in the country that helped in enhancing the quality of education in the country.
World Bank is seen to work internationally, in different countries and in various
fields. This article will help in getting insights about the role of World Bank in helping in
shaping the education governance and provide how it has helped in developing the education
system in Cambodia that will reflect on their contribution to the education system.

Clemens and Kremer (2016) in this paper state that World Bank was basically
established so that the imperfections in the capital markets internationally could be identified
and addressed. Many scholars think that the World Bank does address the issues however; the
World Bank focuses on improving the capital markets of various countries. However,
according to analysis, the goal of the World Bank should focus on reducing one of the major
social issues that is poverty and also addressing the failures in the capital markets globally. It
has been seen that the World Bank has been trying to facilitate international agreements in
order to reduce poverty though supporting policies and plans.
World Bank through their loans and grants has been supporting various causes and
has been working towards solving the issues and helping countries in terms of their capital
projects however this new role of the World Bank is seen to not only help in uplifting the
society but also help in contributing to the establishment of the capital projects. This will help
in the next assessment as it will help in gaining a different insight about the World Bank and
how it is helping the society in a large way through their decisions and agreements.

tourism (Dodds, Ali and Galaski 2018). This paper shows the major challenges are that the
industry hardly has felt the need to encourage communities to participate in tourism activities
despite of taking their help. There are many positive factors like contribution to economy,

reducing unemployment and poverty rate that has encouraged community-based tourism in
various countries. However, one of the major factors that has helped in the development of
community-based tourism is the contribution of the World Bank that has helped in providing
grants and loans to establish some set ups that have then led to the development and have
encouraged the participation of community based tourism.
This paper will help in the next assignment as it will help in providing and presenting
the fact that how the World Bank helps in the development of various industries all across the
globe. World Bank through various projects, help in reducing issues like poverty and
unemployment to improve the quality of life of the people which it does by supporting and
providing for developments like these that ensure the growth of the local communities along
with the economy.

not articulated and often single positions are presented and the other issue is that potential for
developing alternatives from the religious actors are mainly excluded from the engagements
mentioned are always overlooked due to misrecognition of relationship between the sacral
elements and the secular elements in the local context. This paper provides how World Bank
works towards development with the help of religious actors in the society.

This paper gives a perspective about the World Bank showing that they establish
relationships and work with people that contribute to their efforts and do not have concrete
rules and policies and this will help in projecting in the next assignment about how World
Bank works with various people in order to help in fulfilling their agenda and contribute to
the development of a place efficiently.

issues because of the poor access to healthcare of the people. It has been seen that over the
last ten years, WHO and the World Bank have addressed issues in order to improve and
strengthen the health system. The paper also presets the global efforts towards universal
health coverage that is very crucial however, the real drivers for making positive change in
the industry is the demand of the healthcare workers to have access to better mechanisms to
help in delivering their goal. World Bank has helped in looking into the matter and has
helped to develop proper healthcare systems.
