Decisions of the Senior Management
The senior management team of the university took the decision of implementing
Study together (a customer loyalty scheme). Under the scheme, the students will receive a
credit fee for every student they refer (Laudon & Laudon, 2015). Through a credit card or
PayPal, the credit fee is paid to the students. These schemes are implemented to enhance
customer engagement and the applications are much faster than the other universities.
Another decision taken by the management team was to provide every student with a
laptop. This negates the need for buying an E-book or laptop for availing the online courses.
The laptops that are provided by World University are configured beforehand for the
students. The necessary softwares will be pre-installed in the laptop (Bardhan & Thouin,
2013). The price of the laptop is included within the course fees of the online education.

business (Kellermann & Jones, 2013). With the incorporation of compliance in the business
model, the students will feel safer and secure to avail the online services.
ii) Risk Management process: The risk management process is another business
process that can be integrated within the business model of World University. The process of
properly prioritizing, calculating and recognizing different types of risks is known as risk
management (Bilbao-Osorio, Dutta & Lanvin, 2013). The risk is managed by properly
allocating different resources minimizing the chances of unfortunate events. These enhances
the opportunities and situational utilities (Sun & Jeyaraj, 2013). The best part of risk
management is that it provides an assurance for the uncertain events which helps in
preventing the degradation of services of World University. Hence, adopting the business
process of risk management will enable World University to reduce the threats and risks that
are associated with the business model. Risk management also enables the organization to
prevent errors, loss of information and control the risks.
Thus, adopting both the business process in the business model of World University
will enable the organization to enhance its business operations in the future.
Role of Social Media to Promote Business Model
The social media platform can be perceived as a technology which is computer aided
and helps in the creation and sharing of information, career interests, expressions and
ideologies in a virtualized communication or a virtualized network (Schwalbe, 2015). The
social media provides a number of communication nodes. This is one of the main advantages
of using social media. For promotion of their business model, World University should
incorporate the usage of social media in their business model.
Being a new university with a number of online courses, World University should be
careful with their marketing processes. The students should be able to understand their

students will be able to utilize the social media to comment their feedbacks and posts in the
registered social pages of World University. The responses and feedbacks can be utilized by
World University to assess their business model and improve upon it for enhancing their
brand image (Eason, 2014). Moreover, with the change in business processes the students can
face issues in consulting with the concerned authorities (Schnoll, 2015). These issues can be
addressed with the help of social media as it provides an alternative to contact with the
University directly and address their requirements. This will help World University in
properly resolving their problems.
