INTRODUCTION
World Vision is a global Christian community development organization that
provides both long-term and short-term assistance to many people around the world, though
its initial aim was to give children opportunities to improve their lives and alleviate their

orientations, and genders to promote change in different communities. It was started in
Australia by Dr. Robert Pierce in 1966 Dr. Pierce had traveled to Korea and China and saw

Vision, 2017). This organization, therefore, works with communities, families to overcome
hunger, poverty and social injustices. In this report, the long-term goals of this organization

LONG TERM GOALS OF WORLD VISION
In its website, World Vision Australia has outlined its long-term strategic goals which
it aims to achieve. Goals are long-term plans of a firm, (Hill et al., 2014, p. 12). They relate to
the main reason for the existence of any business or social organization, (Bettis et al., 2016,

Transformational development; This is a holistic approach that aims at alleviating
