INTRODUCTION
Health inequality on the basis of gender is one of the important aspect in UK. The health
inequality are unjust, avoidable differences found among people health across population
between specific population groups (Khan and et.al., 2019). The inequality can be seen in many
aspects which may include the disease rate as well as social issues too. This can be justified with
regard to the rate of prevalence of disease in women which is usually high in case of obesity
while comparing it with males. In the same way the access to education in case of female is high
while compared with males. the disparity can also be evidenced in social sector like employment
wherein the rate of employment of males are more than females (Gupta and et.al., 2019). This
statement will support the aspect that how the health inequality prevails in health and social care
among males and females along with deriving appropriate solution for it.
MAIN BODY
Contextual background and underlying factor
The disparity between males and females in case of health and access to social issues is
high which may truly reflect and evidence with various aspects and figures. In case of disease,
the rate of cancer in case of females is 182000 in 2016-2018 while that of males is 193000
(Cancer Statistics for the UK, 2021). In case of obesity the rate varies as in case of females the
rate of obesity is 29% which is usually high while making it compared with the rate of males
which is 27% as per the data of 2019 (Obesity prevalence among individuals in England from
2000 to 2019, by gender, 2019).
Along with existence of difference in disease rate, the disparity also prevails in case of
employment rate which is high in case of males while comparing it with females. This is because
the rate of employment in males is 78.8% while in case of females the rate is 72.2% in
accordance with the data of 2021 (Employment rate in the United Kingdom from March 1971 to
November 2021, by gender, 2021). While the overall rate of employment remains at 75%
(Employment rate (aged 16 to 64, seasonally adjusted), 2021). This shows that the disparity
between males and females varies. However, in case of education it can be right to said that the
rate of education among females is high while comparing it with men. This is because the rate of
education among females is 71.7% while in case of males the rate is 62.9% as per the data of

2019 (Proportion of GCSE entries awarded a C/4 or higher in the United Kingdom between
2000 and 2021, by gender, 2021).
Proposed solution
In order to address the health inequalities and social justice which prevails among people
there are various support group or the public campaign from which awareness would be created
and thus ensure that the rate of disparity would be reduced (Samra, 2019). Women+health is one
such charity organization which is built for helping the women and assist them in raising
awareness related to health. It provides various services which may include health cancelling,
workshops related with health and various other. This organization has a direct and major role
and act as best solution through which the inequality in respect to healthcare and the health
awareness would be raised. Its aim is to help the vulnerable women and thus work in order to
bring health and brighter future for themselves and for families (WHO WE ARE, 2022).
Likewise, #PlegeforProgress is one of the famous campaign of UK that deals with the
promotion of gender equality for reducing inequality and mobilise real world change. This
campaign plays an important role in terms for analysing health inequalities between gender and
thus assist in equal opportunity for males and female in terms of employment as well as access to
healthcare facility. This will lead to take initiative towards enabling of employment opportunities
to women (Over 100 organisations ‘#PledgeforProgress’ towards gender equality, 2022). In the
same way the awareness in respect to health as well as grabbing of opportunities in respect to
employment is also involved as per this campaign.
Organizational research
Women+health is one of the major organization that has a major role towards women in
respect to charity. This organization work for the vulnerable women who face health challenges
and feel more optimistic. The main aim of this organization is to ensure a health and better life
for women and families (WHO WE ARE, 2022). This is further supported with the concerned
activities which are performed by the organization in terms of providing workshop session as
well as the counselling session under which an assistance wold be enabled to the women for

This would be right to said that Women health is counted as best charity organization that
work for the betterment of women.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that the disparity among men and women is
highly affecting the females in terms of accessing the health and social services. With the
prevalence of disparity in terms of high disease rate in women would lead to put a major impact
towards their health. In the same way the existence of disparity in terms of employment rate or
the rate of education would also have been summarised in the report. However, there are many
charities and campaign which may lead to play an important role towards enabling of fairness
and reduce inequality among women. Women+health charity organization and the
#PlegeforProgress campaign are counted as best example which work with the aim of enabling
best treatment and establishing inequality among gender. This will lead to create awareness
among women along with ensuring healthy life and family. The report thus makes a discussion
about the disparity along with summarizing the role of charity organization towards it.
