1 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM AND PURPOSE
According to the scenario the training and development are needed for reducing the accidents
that take place on roofing jobs in the Alliah Construction Company.
The purpose of the training plan is to help the employees to identify the various safety
procedures related to the roofing process of this construction firm.
2 TRAINING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The training program objectives are:
To teach the roofing supervisors regarding the various measures used for workplace
safety
To reduce the accidents levels in the construction firm
3 SKILLS GAPS
The four skills gaps of roofing supervisors that generated after comparing the two attached
reports are as follows:
The roofing supervisors do not use proper protective headgear, safety glasses, and ear
plugs
The roofing supervisors also sometimes not used safety ropes and harness
The roofing supervisors do not have proper knowledge regarding the installation
process and roofing material

5 BEHAVIOR CHANGES AS A RESULT OF TRAINING
After proper training and development, the roofing supervisors can get an idea of using the safety
equipment's while working in the construction site (Zhou, Goh & Li, 2015). In addition, the
roofing supervisors get clear idea of using the safety tools and equipment during their working
procedure. Besides this, proper training help them to use their headgears and ear guard at any
point of working and thereby the accident rates will decrease in the workplace. They also learn
and understand the needs of safety precautions while working and thereby the accident rates will
decrease.
6 PROGRAM DESIGN
It is recommended that the program should develop internally so that the trainers can give
practical examples to the roofing supervisors. By this aspect, the roofing supervisors can easily
understand the importance of using safety gears while working in the construction site.
7 DELIVERY METHOD
The two training delivery methods recommended are:
It is recommended that the trainers will teach the supervisors regarding the importance of using
safety gears with the help of practical examples

through GroupWise so that all trainee will understand it easily
8 TRAINING FACILITY
The training will take place on the abundant construction site so that it becomes easier to teach
them regarding the importance of using safety tools and equipment while working in the
construction site (Mahmoudi, Ghasemi, Mohammadfam & Soleimani, 2014).
9 TRAINING FACILITATOR
The training will facilitate by the HRM department of the construction firm by appointing a
trainer who has immense knowledge regarding the safety procedures.

10 PILOT TEST PROCESS
The pilot testing process will constitute the procedure that determines the potential safety
standards and also the preventive measures that should be taught in the training practices. Hence
these processes is consider as the safety training procedure that should be done before delivering
of the training process to the roofing supervisor of the selected construction site. A pilot test is
defined as a small-scale version of a larger project and thereby it is used for describing the
training aspect in this scenario in accordance with smaller version. The main scope of this pilot
test is thereby to learn the supervisors regarding the training aspect that will be useful for them to
reduce the accident rates as accordance with the current scenario (Choudhry, 2014). The HRM
department should be involved and arrange the proper testing procedure for the trainees to get
positive feedback from their employees. If the feedback became positive and provides various
helpful aspects in enhancing the safety procedure then it can be said that the respective training
possess a successful aspect for the firm. In addition, the time frame of the training procedure
must be for six months so that every employee will trained properly. The feedback will help the
trainees to learn the safety measures properly.
11 INTERNAL COMMUNICATION STRATEGY
In order to communicate with the employees it is important that the manager should arrange
meeting where they gives proper training as well as the importance of using safety measures by
the roofing supervisor. Besides this, by giving examples regarding the positive impact of safety
measures, I will motivate the employees, and for this, I will casually communicate with
supervisors. In other words, in order to motivate them it is necessary that the managers should
supervise their work so that influence them to wear safety measures while working in the
construction site.
12 TRAINING EVALUATION
By using Kirkpatrick’s level 2 method of training the skills and knowledge regarding the safety
measures will improve and hence the learning objective will be evaluated (Li, Lu, Hsu, Gray &
Huang, 2015). Therefore, it is clear that by using this Kirkpatrick’s level 2 method the roofing
superiors can easily learned the various measures of using safety equipment’s and hence the
supervisors will understand the importance of using headgear, safety glasses, earplugs, harness

as well as rope during working. In other words, the Kirkpatrick’s level 2 method also provide
training skills and therefore proper training procedure will help them to understand the use of
tools and its maintenance procedure. Hence after learning all these aspects the accident level in
the construction site will reduce and therefore it is clear that the four learning objectives will be
successful. For examples, the supervisor uses safety gears while working that includes both their
headgear and ear guard respectively. This aspect can be achieved if the management team
provides proper training option for their roofing supervisors. Another example is that with the
help of proper training program the roofing supervisor also learn the respective procedures by
using the tools and also its proper maintenance in the working prospects.
