Introduction
This report is a continuation on the previous information provided in the context of the
cholera outbreak in Yemen will be focusing on the aspects related to the delivery of the phases
crucial for the enhancement in the performance of the project. The project was delivered for the
management and caring of the patients affected by the Cholera in Yemen. The delivery of the
project includes the establishment of the camps, hospitals, and other emergency medical camps
for assuring that better and enhanced care is being provided to the patients. Project quality audit
can be considered as the crucial aspect related to the execution of the project. Project audit is
nothing but a documentation of the verification systems in manner to assure that the activities
being delivered within the project are confirming to the procedures, defined processes,
guidelines, and standards. It is comprised of mainly three activities including the sequential flow
of the plan for the audit, executing the audit, and following up the activities. Project audit can be
divided in two ways including the investigative audits and conformance audits. The conformance
audit is delivered for conducting the audit on a regular basis during the phases of the project
assuring that the project delivery is complying with the objectives and goals set for the project.
However, the investigative audit focuses on the execution of the audit for a special event or
single incident that is capable of influencing the delivery of the project in negative manner.
Literature Review
Kerzner (2017) stated the quality management of the project as a crucial aspect for the
delivery of the successful project assuring that the activities being delivered are capable of
meeting the goals and objectives of the project. This can be delivered through delivering proper
and effective project quality audits considering the delivery and accomplishment of the project

activities. Project Quality Audit is helpful in ensuring the best and effective processes those have
been delivered in the certain sectors and phases of the project (Basu, 2017). It also identifies the
sector within the project where best practices have not been identified and promotes the sharing
of the ideas and information related to the practices those have been benefited the similar
projects. It allows the team involved in the project to acquire the best practices those could be
utilized for the proper and effective delivery of the project (Basu, 2014). It assures the sponsors
of the project that the milestones and activities related to the execution of the project are in line
and each of them are being accomplished in an efficient and effective manner (Rumane, 2016).
Project quality audit helps the project managers in the management of the different sectors
including the project charter, budget requirements, functional management, and project structure
and thus, alternatively allowing the manager to accomplish all the objectives and scopes of the
project.
This phase and activity is helpful auditing the progress of the project an and as the case
study was an uncertain accident new project managers come into consideration for the delivery
of the objective and goals of the project and thus, it boosted them to accomplish their roles in
efficient and effective manner (Schwalbe, 2015). The audit helps the project manager to track
down the limitations and expectations of the project assuring that the path being followed by the
project has been on the track. It is helpful in enabling the high performance and elimination of
the elements those might affect the efficiency and delivery of the project. The project audit
allows the manager to identify the sectors needing changes and manipulations for enhancing the
standard and quality of the activities being delivered. “Many corporations who make extensive
use of project and matrix management may wish to develop the auditing skills internally, but
medium or small organizations may prefer to use external agencies (Turner, 2016).” The project

quality audit had many beneficial effects in monitoring the growth and development of the
projects and assuring that proper training, coaching, procedures of the project audit and
requirements of the project are meeting the expectations of the project. Sallis (2014) said that
“there are many possible other benefits of the project quality audit that ensures the benefits
associated with the delivery of the project including the ability to coach the team, personalizing
the audit procedures, trainings in manner to meet the exact needs and requirements of the project
(Kerzner, 2018).”
Types of Project Quality Audit
Following are some of the typical types of the audit including:
Internal Audits: it will be assuring that the project has been capable of delivering the
objectives and activities of higher standard quality or fulfilling the required criteria for a
successful delivery of the activities. It can be described as the first desirable audit that can also
be delivered through the assuring the internal audits (Nicholas & Steyn, 2017). The auditors
responsible for delivering the objectives of quality audit might be hired by the project executives
for the functioning of the same functions involved in the project. The auditors must have the
authority in manner to enhance the precision and the accuracy.
External Audits: The auditors responsible for delivering audit and identify the factors
responsible for management of the quality and the efficiency and precision is highly increased,
as the external auditors are completely free from the bonding of the project (Carithers et al.,
2015). It can be graded as the best approach for the delivery of the high standard project assuring
that the activities and milestones are meeting the planned schedule and budget without
hampering the quality.

Second Party Audits: A contracted party can be asked to review and monitor the overall
project execution phase sin manner to assure that the project is capable of eliminating all the
existing lagging factors and delivering a high standard project (Nanda, 2016).
Third Party Audits: third party or any external quality audits can be delivered in manner
to developing the model without any preferences and other emotional behavior and identifying
the real aspects of the ongoing project.
Product Audits: It is responsible for identifying whether the physical output of the project
is capable of meeting the quality measurements and design specification of the project or not.
This audit includes the consideration of the measurement of the product testing, physical
dimensions, or destructive testing (Kerzner, 2017). Testing equipment and calibrating tools can
be utilized for the delivery of the product audit
System Audits: It is a general type of the project audit being utilized by the organizations
for reviewing the quality system and assuring that the high standard quality is being delivered to
the consumers. The basic functioning of this audit emphasizes on the verification of the
procedures being utilized for monitoring the procedures and steps taken for the evaluation of the
quality of the product and output from the proposed project, recording procedures of the
collected data and information, and the ways those could be assuring that the failed project has
not been passed.
Steps in Conducting Project Quality Audit
Following are the list of activities crucial for the successful deployment of the project quality

Planning for the audits
This is generally started once and being managed on the regular basis till the project is
estimated to be completed. Following are the sequential activities those need to be managed
while delivering the planning for the audit:
1. Strengthening the phases and activities involved in the execution phase of the project
being delivered (Heldman, 2018).
2. Scheduling the periodic audits is another crucial objective for the successful and efficient
delivery of the project audit
3. Scheduling the activities related to the event triggered audits considering the phases of
the project plan
4. Circulating the assumptions and procedures about to be introduced for the execution of
the project audit to the executives and key internal stakeholders (Oakland, 2018).
5. Implementing the suggestions and the feedbacks those have been received from the
stakeholders and the executives for enhancing the audit plan.
6. Gaining the approval for releasing the implementation from the authorized individuals of
the project assuring that the audit project can be executed.
7. Reviewing the plans involved in the quality audit plans periodically ensuring the regular
updates on the project and implementation of the small changes (Zavadskas et al., 2014).
Conducting the Quality Audits

1. The individuals responsible for the project quality audit will be collecting the information
related to the guidelines, standards, procedures, and processes and instructions about the
audit and studies the same in preparation for conducting the audit
2. The auditee reviewing the activities and progress of the project should prepare the project
documentation (Unroe et al., 2015).
3. The timing for the arrival of the auditor should collide with the timing of the auditee in
manner to make proper and effective communication with them. The audit could be
confirmed as the non-conformity, if the auditee has not been present during the arrival of
the auditor.
4. The auditor will be executing the verification audit of the project documentation in
manner to relate the documentation with the conformance in association with the
activities including the guidelines, procedures, formats, templates, and standards those
are responsible for defining the project.
5. During the auditing of the project documentation is not able to conforming the the
processes involved in the audit process, a waiver can be provided by the by the auditeee
considering the chances of similar happening in future (Conole, 2016). Again, the audit
will be confirmed as non-conformance of proper waiver is not maintained during the
audit process.
6. The auditing has been completed within the estimated time and budget estimated during
the planning of the project and has not been hampering the triple constraint of the project.
7. The auditing committee in manner to present the evidences that could prevent the
proposed audit program from non-conformance will discuss the non-conformances

Follow-up activities of the Audit
The auditing manager discusses the reports being developed during the above phases in
this phase including the executives and key internal stakeholders. The determination of the
appropriate corrective actions and discussion on the audit report among the stakeholders can be
discussed among the committee set for the audit plan and will be helpful in closing the
preventive activities and the non-conformance in manner to assuring that the non-conformance
does not recur in the future experiences (Secanell et al., 2014). This will be meeting on all the

Cost benefit analysis is a tool that can be utilized for analyzing the quality of the project
however; the selected case study was a non-profit organization and hence, project does not
emphasizes on the profit making. Cost of Quality can be considered as the appropriate tool for

the management of the quality of the development of the camps and medical centers for
enhancing the quality standard of the service being delivery to the cholera affected individuals
(Larsen et al., 2015). It includes the consideration of the prevention costs, appraisal costs, and
failure costs. Following are some of the common quality planning tools those can be
incorporated within any project for the management of the quality and assuring the customers
and the citizens are getting high standard products and services:
FFA (Force Field Analysis): It is a helpful technique that is applicable for analyzing the
ideas and related activities by a group of members through analyzing the advantageous and
disadvantageous factors related to the presented idea. It is helpful in looking at every aspect of
the ideas and discussing them among the group for the identification of the best possible course
of action that can be delivered in the project (Wagner et al., 2014). The major focus of this
approach is to analyze the ideas and relating them with the ongoing activities and future
activities considering the standard and quality of the project.
Brainstorming: It is a process of digging out ideas from different individuals and
contributing in the development of the innovation and creativity among the activities identified
for the management of the quality standard in the project (Heagney, 2016). It allows a group of
members to consider the ongoing audit program and consider them for the presentation of the
ideas those are feasible and could be delivered within the project for enhancing the quality of the
project.
Nominal Group Technique: It can be described as an extension of the brainstorming
strategies those are helpful in adding ranks to the thoughts and ideas presented during the
brainstorming and considering the appropriate and best approach for the present condition of the
project (Leach, 2014).

Summary
Objectives of the audit
The objective of the project audit is to analyze whether the project management
framework and practices being practiced are capable of fulfilling the needs and requirements of
the cholera-infected community.
Opinion of the audit
There are certain activities those might affect the standard of the project and this can be
eliminated through the implementation of the ideas that can enhance the project quality.
Statement of assurance
It can be assured that the ideas collected from different meetings and ways could be
utilized within the project in manner to enhance the quality and standard of the project and the
customers can be successfully availed through the application of the practices stated above.
Comparison will be made before the execution of the activities for assuring the quality of the
project.
Summary of recommendation
Project Management Policy modification can be recommended for the enhancement of
the standard quality. Brainstorming should be executed regularly considering the development of
