Description of proposal
Benefits realization
Benefits that one will realized by doing yoga and meditation are given below.
ï‚· Patient will not need to pay heavy amount of money to buy medicines. In UK Doctor fee
is very high and in situation when economic conditions are not good it is very difficult for
people to afford Doctor fee frequently. Medicines that neurology patient buy are also too
costly. By doing yoga one can cure from disease and may abstain from paying heavy
amount of bills.
ï‚· Continue consumption of medicines sometimes lead to increase in weight. By doing yoga
one can control his weight (Meyer and et.al., 2012).
ï‚· One can do meditation and by doing so he can increase its concentration power on
specific thing which will reduce memory loss. Hence, one will not need to take medicines
to prevent memory loss.
ï‚· Poor people will be able to afford treatment of yoga and meditation.
Executive summary
This report is prepared on yoga and meditation as a tool to give treatment to those that are
suffered from neurology diseases. In the report the reasons due to which yoga can be proved
effective in memory loss problem are discussed in detail. Practical application of yoga service as
business is done in the report. By using facts and figures it is identified that there is great demand
of yoga training sessions among the people. NHS website was also visited and it is identified that
is promoting yoga in UK. This prove that yoga and meditation exercise is very effective in
memory loss problem.
Introduction and overview
The main purpose of this document is to provide an information about the yoga and
meditation to treat neurology patients. Often it is observed that in the case when person which is
affected from disease that is related to the neurology doctors give treatment to the patient for
three years. This is minimum duration of treatment for which neurology patient is kept under
observation of doctor. Many times it has been seen that due to continue consumption of capsules
migraine comes in control but on other side problem of memory loss comes in existence. Many

times even medicines are given but problem of memory loss does not comes in control
(Velikonja and et.al., 2010). In such a situation yoga and meditation prove very effective in
preventing further memory loss of patient. So the question arises that how yoga is emerging as
effective method of treatment relative to medicines. Yoga is a sort of exercise which generate
energy in human body. That energy is used by body to generate gray matter in the brain. When
gray matter accumulate to certain level in the human brain memory retention power enhanced
and memory loss problem comes in control (Sherman and et.al., 2011). This is proved in various
experiments that were conducted by scientists in different time period. Hence, with passage of
time more and more people are practicing yoga exercises to eliminate disease.
Current pathway
Currently, also there are many yoga centers in the UK but there main focus is on teaching
yoga to the people with the objective to keep people healthy (Ross and Thomas, 2010). Less
number of people are doing yoga if compare them with entire population. On other hand, people
does not know that what benefits they are receiving by doing specific type of yoga. Hence, they
are doing those sort of yoga positions which they does not require to do. This reflects that there
is a gap in terms of lack of knowledge among the people in relation to yoga positions that they
must practice to remain healthy.
Improved pathway
In our service package special emphasis will be given on the neurology patients.
Currently, it has been observed that doctors are using medicines to treat patients which is proving
costly and less beneficial for neurology patients in terms of memory loss problem. In our service
package we will teach yoga and meditation exercises which are relevant for neurology patients.
Under yoga breath inhale and exhale exercise will be teach to the patients (Somerstein, 2010).
Mediation classes will be organized separately and under this patients will be instructed to focus
on there breaths and control on there emotions. By doing this there concentration power will be
increased.
Why yoga and meditation will prove effective for neurology patientsï‚· Yoga- In order to understand benefits of yoga for the neurology patients it is important to
understand the reasons due to which yoga and meditation will prove effective for
neurology patients. Memory loss disease comes in existence when patient brain cells
death happen at fast rate and birth of new brain cells occur at slow pace. This happens

when blood circulation does not happen properly in body specially in the brain
(Hassanpour-Dehkordi and Jivad, 2014). Central nervous system lies in brain and when
blood does not approach in proper quantity in brain then existing brain cells died
gradually and birth rate of same become slow. Due to this reason memory retention
power reduced in neurology patient and he start forgetting activities or things related to
them that he perform in single day. Those people who have slightly memory loss problem
but are not suffered from Alzheimer practicing yoga prevent further cognitive decline.
There is a transition period if memory loss continue one can suffered from mentioned
disease (Friedman, J., 2015). By using practicing progress in memory loss can be stopped
and one can prevent himself from suffering from mentioned disease.
ï‚· Meditation- Meditation is another technique that will used for the treatment of neurology
patient. Under meditation one need to focus on his breathe and during this time period
brain of human being start thinking about many things like education and career etc. The
main target of one doing a meditation is to not pay any attention to such kind of notions
that are coming in his brain and to focus consistently on breath inhale and exhale rate
which is naturally decreasing with increase in duration of meditation (Smolinsky, 2014).
In pilot study conducted by Wake Forest neurologist of Rebecca Erwin Wells identified
that those who practice mindfulness meditation have less chances of cognitive
impairment. This research also reveals that if mediators will be compared with non
mediators then it will be identified that in former type of people there is great
connectivity in neurons in the default mode network (Friedman, J., 2015). It is a part of
brain which is related to thinking about past and future.
The entire result of this hard work will be that when patient will perform his day to day
work he will be able to pay due attention on his work rather then on other surrounding
environment activities. This will increase memory retention power of neurology patient and in
these ways yoga and meditation will prove effective for neurology patient.

Greenwich citizen. By visiting relevant site information about the environmental factors which
affects peoples health is also collected (http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk). The main priority of
NHS Greenwich is to improve healthcare services in the mentioned borough of London.
Reduction in the health inequalities is other main priority of the NHS Greenwich. In this regard it
ensures that equal services will be provided to the people without doing any discrimination on
the basis colour or religion. NHS Greenwich is promoting self management among the people of
borough. In this regard its priority is to teach people about the way that they can adopt to keep
themselves healthy (Greenwich CCG commissioning plan 2015/16, 2016). The main priority of
is to make sure that services will be provided to the people on time and on right place. This will
ensure safety of patient life when condition is critical. NHS Greenwich is giving due importance
to the competition that it wants to give to other branches of NHS in terms of service quality. By
doing so it wants to make its service much better then other branches of NHS.

Objective
The main objective of choosing this service is to tap an opportunity that exist in the
market. It is well known fact which is that in neurology one face a problem of memory loss
(Hayes, M. and Chase, S., 2010).
ï‚· The main objective of this research study is to identify the way in which new service
which is yoga and meditation will be provided to the people in order to eliminate there
memory loss problem.

ï‚· The second main objective of this research study is to identify the risks that are
associated with commencing this new service. It is very important to identify threat that
are related to new service. It is is very important to address these issues because if same
will not be done then business under which new service proposed to be provided to the
patients will not achieve success as required (Roland, 2014).
ï‚· The third main objective of this research is to check viability of the proposed business
services. It is possible that firm wants to provide new service to the customers but it is too
costly. Due to this reason less people may prefer to take firm service.
Thus, it can be said that these are three objectives under which entire research work will go in
specific direction and will help in measuring viability of the proposed service in real business
world. If proposed service is viable then it will be quickly adopted by the people. In other words,
it can be said that if new proposed service will be available to customers at cheaper rate then
there will be high demand for the yoga and meditation service among the people.
Impact of key priorities
The top priorities of the yoga and meditation service are given below.
ï‚· To provide proper guidance for performing each and every step of yoga services.
ï‚· To provide detail information about balance diet and when to eat food items in relation to
yoga.
ï‚· To increase awareness about use of yoga among the people.
ï‚· To provide information about the changes that comes internally in the body due to
practice of yoga exercises (Ebnezar, 2011).
ï‚· To create a perception among the people that yoga exercises are better then use of
medicines in terms of cost of treatment.
Thee will be positive impact of priorities on the business firms. The first priority of
service is to give guidance in systematic way in relation to practice of yoga exercises to the
people. By doing this people will be assured that treatment is given to them is systematic way
and will prove effective for them. As per rules, individual must not consume any food item
before doing yoga. In the training session information about precautions that needs to be taken in
relation to yoga and consumption of food items will be provided. Thus, will increase impact of
yoga on people memory power and yoga service will become popular among the people.
Campaigns will be organized to educate people about yoga and meditation and this will help in

Risk assessment analysis
In every business there are many risks that firm have to face. In yoga and meditation
service also there are some risks to which business firm can be exposed. One of the main risk is
that doctors may gave greed to the people by taking medicines they will be fine at fast rate the
yoga and meditation. Yoga is after all exercise which is done by human being. If it will not be
done in right way then patient have to wait for good results (Dhikav and et.al., 2010). Doctors
can take advantage of this limitation and can convince people to rely on medicines then yoga. It
has been seen that most of the people wants to see instant impact of any medicine they take.
Hence, they can be convince by the statement of Doctor. If this will happen then it is possible
that less number of people like to perform yoga exercise. This service is given by the other
organization in the UK but such kind of practice is at its initial stage. Hence, negative word of
mouth marketing by doctors may create problem for the firm. Risk analysis matrix is given
below.
