1YOGA ADVENTURE
As I thought about pleasurable ways to get back in shape, the first activity that popped
in my mind was yoga. This was an activity that I thoroughly enjoyed earlier. However, due to
some time constraints I had to give up my hobby. When I took up this yoga class, I was eager
to rekindle my enjoyment for this activity. As I joined the class, I was extremely jittery and
anxious. These feelings mainly resulted out of the fact that I was under confident. Due to the
lack of physical activity in my daily lifestyle, I felt completely out of shape. Thus, I saw yoga
as a way to regain my confidence. I realized that there would be hoards of challenges ahead
but I prepared myself to face them all.
As the classes went on, I started regaining my lost confidence. It appeared that I had
not forgotten all of the yoga postures. Ever since I joined my first yoga class, I loved the calm
and relaxation that washed over me as I moved from one posture to another. Since I
incorporated my yoga session early in the morning, I felt that the whole day went by
extremely peacefully. The same sense of calm and serenity returned. Yoga became a means
of relaxation; an escape from the monotonous buzzing of everyday life. As time went on, I
started looking forward to this class. I also started enjoying the challenges. For instance,
every time I was unable to perfect a yoga posture, I became determined. Even though I am an
individual who usually gives up easily, I was surprised at my own strong resolution.
Yoga is currently an outlet to my scattered emotions. Whenever I am upset or
dejected, a quick session of yoga helps me get back on track. Even after the class has ended, I
practice yoga at home. The tranquility it provides me is unlike any other experience.
Moreover, I find that my fitness has also improved. Not only am I more flexible, but I can
also swiftly complete my daily activities without any kind of struggle. Hence, it seems that
yoga is helping me both mentally and physically. Nowadays, my family has seen a drastic
change in me. Rather than sulking, I now feel that I am calm enough to act productively in

difficult situations. Thus, yoga has helped me to significantly manage my stress levels as
well.
Hence, I can safely say that yoga has brought about a sea of positive changes in me.
Not only has it made me into a composed person but I also feel that yoga helps me to channel
my energy in a specific direction. Yoga has brought about many positive changes me. From
this class, I have come to the resolution that I will be incorporating yoga as a regular part of
my life from now. Moreover, I have recommended this practice to all of my family and
friends. I hope that yoga is practiced by all so that everyone can benefit from the positive
effects.
