This report presents a qualitative research study on young people and rough sleeping in London, based on interviews with two participants. The study explores the participants' backgrounds and experiences, focusing on themes such as poor parental care, drug abuse and violence, and victimization. The findings reveal the challenges faced by young homeless individuals, including the impact of family dynamics, substance abuse, and exposure to crime and violence. The report analyzes the themes in relation to social science theory and relevant policy, drawing conclusions about the complex factors contributing to youth homelessness and victimization. The research highlights the need for interventions addressing parental care, drug abuse, and support for vulnerable young people. The report also discusses the difference in crime vulnerability between male and female homeless individuals, and the strategies they deploy to avoid victimization. The study's findings are supported by references to existing literature, providing a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by young homeless individuals in London.
