Introduction
Sociology is a discipline, which aims at social wellbeing. Research, surveys, analysis
helps in deducing relevant conclusions towards developmental aspects regarding social
welfare. External challenges like language barriers, commercialization, political instabilities,
social malice acts as an obstacle in the process of social work. These issues compel the
researcher to encounter issues in making the propositions regarding the community
development. Multi-disciplinary teams collaborate with the governmental agencies for
formulating strategies to empower the youth and the community workers (Means, Richards
and Smith 2008). This assignment attempts to shed light on the strategies prevailing in the
Youth Forums and centres regarding maximization of the involvement of the community
workers. Focus is also placed on the challenges prevailing in the execution of social work and
the solutions for upgrading the standards of employment for the youths and the community
workers.
Part 1
Youth and community are interrelated in terms of social development. Strategic
approach in this context highlights training through wide ranging activities, programs and
processes, which develops inclusive practices. Formality attains a negative connotation in this
aspect, as the aim is to achieve trust, loyalty and dependence from the community people.
Sapin (2013) is of the view that planned and structured approach drives the social work
towards people centric research. Department of Education monitors the programs, enforcing
Equality Act (2010) for ensuing that there are no instances of conflicts, discriminations,
harassments, misunderstanding and dilemmas. According to the guidelines of Department of
Education, every learner (youth) possess the right to get the best environment of learning for
exposing their potential capabilities.

Education and Youth Curriculum ensures that the youth have equal access to the
services for fulfilling the educational needs. They are inspired towards the adoption of
inclusive practices for reducing the instances of neglect, isolation and seclusion from the
communities. Seal and Frost (2014) highlights that the aim in this context is to empower the
youth in a globalized society. Equality Act (2010) ensures that the youth learners get equal
treatment, which simultaneously inculcates within them the thirst for emerging as a people’s
leader. Dissemination of the skills on adjustability and teamwork is included within the
strategy of the Department of Education, which is an initiative towards averting the conflicts
and other illegal instances. The main focus is on preserving the core values of honesty,
integrity, accountability and transparency, enhancing the cultural diversity.
The curriculum of social work aims towards establishing the youth as the contributor
to the environment and economy. This is through the means of providing assistance in
undertaking informed decisions regarding uplifting the standards of living for the community
people. Youth Work Paradigm focuses on participative democracy and social justice
(Etswales.org.uk 2020). Within this, there are two tensions or concerns, which are:
discrepancies in outcome and achievement; invisibility of the outcomes. Therefore,
exploration of the roles of outcomes and assessing the feasibility is an important part of
strategies formulated by Department of Education.
Youth Work Policies and framework models are integral part of the strategies.
Categories are stated with clarity for developing relevancy, authenticity and reliability in the
social work.

This model is used by the Department of Education to segregate the roles and
responsibilities of the staffs at different levels, which are universal, early intervention,
prevention and targeted intervention. The administration comprises of the facilitative
processes, which is a two way communication, acting as a platform for the youths to voiuce4
out their opinions. Community engagement is the basic essence of the strategies, which
results in increased sense of belongingness between the youth and community. Participative
democracy and social justice results in the enhancement of the skills, knowledge and
expertise regarding the social systems and the constructs.
Policy makers are important in the social work. Information related to the policy
systems are communicated to the policy makers, with the wellbeing of the community people

in mind (Lifelonglearning.co.uk 2020). These aspects reflect the target intervention services,
which are aimed at the developing collaborative approach towards social upliftment. Mention
can be made of the Positive For Youth, which is a governmental initiative for the young
people between the age group of 13-19. The objectives of this policy are to:
 Undertake informed decisions
 Facilitate the young learners with quality resources
 Conduct audits, evaluates and inspections regarding the quality of the social work and
research projects
The aim is to install positivity into the society, rejecting the negative stereotypical
notions. The emphasis is on public policies and local services, which empowers the young
learners. Plans are aimed towards driving the youth towards independence, invoking
leadership. The approach of this policy is not centralist or statists, however, collaborative
leadership is invoked through empowerment (Nya.org.uk 2020). Advisory groups, voluntary
organizations and local authorities conglomerate for formulation of the policies beneficial for
the youth empowerment. Summits formed a main component for discussing the issues in the
education in the current scenario.
Part 2
Extension Programs and Policies offer a deeper understanding of the role of youth in
the community development. Active engagement in the projects inculcates the sense of
ownership of local wellbeing in the youth. Research through interviews is also effective for
the youths to excavate the condition of the communities in the current constructs of the
society. Motivational programs and seminars, including the community workers, is beneficial
for inculcating the sense of societal development. Interactive sessions also suffice the need of

deeper into the condition of the communities. Schemes are planned for the community
workers to empower them in terms of employment. Sports and other events generate
enthusiasm among the youths and the community workers regarding societal development.
Academic projects are assigned to the students on high schools, which reflects their
involvement in the community work. College attendance is counted in case of the community
workers, reinforcing positive values. Moral education classes are also organized, which
emphasizes on the development of the skills on self-efficacy, values of self-esteem and
responsibility towards execution of the duties (Youthpolicy.org 2020). Parents teacher meets
are also important in terms of measuring the involvement and its outcome on the curriculum.
This is one of the means for expanding the customer base. Self-evaluation programs are also
conducted for driving the performance of the youths towards leadership. They are involved in
the activities like personality tests, presentations, storytelling and others, which reflects their
potential skills, abilities and competencies.
Community groups are involved in the surveys and feedbacks processes. The youths
are entrusted with the responsibility of collecting data, enhancing their awareness about the
needs of the community. Group discussions among the youth and the community workers
enhance their adjustability skills, reducing the instances of conflicts. This enhancement
fosters collaboration, resulting in the upgradation of the standards and quality of education

community development. Apart from this, catalysts are organized in the collaboration with

Strategies like Positive for Youth aims at the development of social and emotional
capabilities. According to the perceptions, there is a lack of consensus regarding languages
and evidences, which aggravates the complexities in measuring the capabilities and
competencies. Individual portfolios of the youth are prepared for mapping the journeys from
the initiation to the development. The frameworks in this context aims the dissemination of
values for supporting the evidence to demonstrate the linkages between the outcomes and the
approaches on educational attainment, employment, health and safety (Youthpolicy.org
2020).
The focus groups accompanies the young people in the social works and research, which
is based on the themes of educational achievement, career enhancement, healthy relationships
and meaningful activities. Surveys accounts that most of the young people from the age
group of 14-19 years encounters potential challenges in education due to unhealthy
relationships, career issues and health problems. Data regarding the tangible and concrete
aspects are developed for tracking the accredited achievements, qualifications, number of
hours for which the services were provided. These data helped in mapping the outcomes in
terms of empowering the youth and the community towards development.
In the assessment process, consideration of outcome model seems to be beneficial in
terms of mapping the outcomes in a proper sense. Within this, mention can be made of the
intrinsic and extrinsic outcomes, which depicts the relationships and capabilities of the youth.
Agendas form an integral part in terms of improvising on the communication skills of the
youth and community workers. Group discussions are conducted, which focuses on interim
indicators, detecting the approach towards solving the issues on ‘Managing Feelings’,

Community work or social work increases the proactive factors of development for the
youths, reducing the intensity of the potential risks. Evaluation of the achievements affirms
the aspect of ‘youth as the contributor towards social good.
Part 3
Multidisciplinary teams aim towards improvising on educational disadvantages and
early school leaving candidates. As a matter of specification, the multi-disciplinary teams
includes psychologists, social workers and healthcare professionals. Among these, my role is
that of a social work intending community development through the involvement of
community workers. My main focus is on the skill development, mental health support,
emotional support. The target audience, which I think is productive is that of the marginalised
community families. Research projects helps me to socialise the condition of these families.

In this context, I can mention the aspects of literature review, methodology, analysis and
interpretation, conclusion and recommendations, which is assistance in terms of deducing
crucial facts about upgrading the standards and quality of living for the communities.
In the process of analysing the outcomes, models like drop out networks is
considered, which enhances the awareness about the supply chain network conglomerating
the agencies, firms and the communities (Lifelonglearning.co.uk 2020). I indulge in surveys
with the community children, who are dropped out of schools. I also take proactive parts in
practicals and field surveys, which provided me with live examples about frequent absence.
In this context, Pupil Guidance Centre acts as an agent for me to upgrade the notion about
pedagogy and the curriculum. I take permission from the managers before the initiation of the
surveys, which reflects adherence to the ethical considerations. I feel that ethical
considerations are vital in terms of gaining trust, loyalty and dependence from the community
workers. In this context, implementation of ethical code of conduct is crucial for monitoring
the processes executed by the community workers.
The social works and research projects, in which I take part is effective for deducing
new insights into the aspect of community development. This is in terms of analysing the
collected data. These data acts as a secondary source of information for me in terms of
developing crucial linkages between the propositions regarding community development.
Consideration of the scholarly reviews expands the scope and arena of my thinking skills
regarding involving the community workers for their development. I also feel that this
approach is productive, as it develops critiquing and argumentative skills within me,
indicating simultaneous development of creative thinking and imaginative skills.
According to my opinions, submitting the research papers to the Youth Forums would
be effective in terms of formulating effective strategies to empower youth and community

workers. Adopting the arguments of Jrf.org.uk (2020), I also feel that attending lectures
organized under Individual Education Programs would act assistance towards developing the
skills for attaining professional development through personal development. I also think that
volunteering the activities organized by specialists regarding catering to the mental health
issues of the communities would seem to be a fruitful option for upgrading the performance
according to the needs, demands, requirements and expectations. Involving the community
workers in these volunteering activities would act as their empowerment. However, it needs
to be ensured that they are properly equipped with the resources and have equal access to the
services.
I also feel that training is an effective option for the community workers to achieve a
deeper understanding about the ways of achieving social development. Practical tests are
conducted for mapping the potential skills, capabilities and competencies of the community
workers (Etswales.org.uk 2020). In this context, the focus is on assessing the capabilities
towards making practical application of the learnt skills for executing the allocated duties and
responsibilities. I have gained an insight into the fact that facilitator coordinator has an
important role to play in the development of the youth and community workers. In my
research, I submit the results of the school dropout children to the Youth Forums and centres,
which enables them to indulge in strategic alliance with governmental agencies for the
formulation of effective schemes.
Advocates assure me whether the implemented legislations and regulatory parameters
are effective for achieving the desired outcomes. Approval towards the ethical considerations
is one of the aspects governed by the Department of Education (Seal and Frost 2014). This
approach is coded by the corporate governance, which monitors the pedagogical process
adopted for empowering the youths and community workers. Inequality contradicts the
standards and protocols of the guidelines and legislative parameters, which requires the

implementation of strict guidelines and rules for ensuring that aversion can be achieved
towards the instances of conflicts, discriminations, harassments, confusions,
misunderstanding and others.
Part 4
Non-conventional forms of participation is more preferred as compared to
conventional forms. Lower influence from the influential people enhances the awareness
about the established systems. Apart from this, lack of proper education and training
generates qualitative arguments within the youths, which is productive in sense of invoking
the critiquing and argumentative thinking skills. On the contrary, Sapin (2013) states that this
development is harmful, as it nullifies the aspect of team work, unity and coordination.
Participation in the activities is less, which deprives the youths from the information related
to community work. Precarious experiences along with the diversified pathways to labour
market transactions is also an issue in terms of empowering the youths and the community
workers.
Systematic representation of young people is not that productive in the current
educational pedagogy. This aspect is a serious drawback in terms of creating the portfolios of
the youths and the community workers. In this context, even if the research is conducted
according to the requirements, hypothetical parameter is added, as the propositions lack
quality and linkage to the aims and objectives (Means, Richards and Smith, R., 2008). Social
transfers act as an obstacle for the youths to accomplish the targeted goals and objectives.
These transfers destroys the consistency in the research, resulting in delays in the submitting
the results to the forums and centres. These delays, further, act as an obstacle in terms of
formulating effective strategies for improvising on the standards and quality of work.
