INTRODUCTION
Social work and youth centre support younger people to grow and develop in personal
and professional life through offering various services to them. There are various responsibilities
of youth and community worker to work in multidisciplinary team for growth and development
of students and economy. Different keys issue impact on wellbeing and development of young
person through effective support from youth and community services. This report is about social
worker that works in youth centre to provide support to children and young people in
understanding importance of remaining education and training to get best possible outcomes. It
also explains about their roles and responsibilities, initiate that enable positive outcome for
younger people. At last report analysis about key issue of inequality and their impact on social
cohesion at the same time impact of such issue on development of young people.

P1 Key legislation that impact on youth and community work practices
There are various legislation that are formed by government to provide protection and
support to young people that are excluded from education and training (Richards-Schuster,
Pritzker and Rodriguez-Newhall, 2018). Therefore such legislation formed by government
impact youth and community work practices are as follows:
Equality Act 2010: It state that people should be provided equal opportunity to all people that
are living in the society. Thereby it state that community workers and youth centre cannot
discriminate among people on the basis of gender, caste, religion, race, age while offering
various products and services. Thus, Youth centre and community workers provide equal
opportunity to all young people that have being excluded from education and training for their
better life.
Human right Act 1998: It state various right that are given to human so that safety and security
can be maintained at the same time best practice can be ensure in social health care. This right
give freedom to individual to live their life independently to protect students and young person
from violence and abuse (Blackman and Rogers, 2017). Therefore youth centre and community
workers considered human right act while providing various support services to young people so
that they can easily learn new things and enhance their knowledge. Individual are free to decide

whether they want support to continue their further education and training which they have left
before.
Building national care services and shaping future of care together: It stated that the way
personalised social care and various support services will be delivered to people and fair system
that is to be used in youth centre and community work practices for development of society.
Such as fair funding, personalised care support to students and young people that are living in
UK in order to enhance their knowledge and skill.
Data protection Act 1988: This law explained that data and information of student and young
people need to be secured and protected for their safety. Thus, youth centre and community
workers has to ensure safety and security of personal information of students and youth people to
whom firm is providing various services.
Mental capacity Act 2005: People who have less ability to take accurate decision or need some
time to take decision thus it state the person who is responsible for taking decision on behalf of
student or young people (Burke, Greene and McKenna, 2017). Community worker provide
various services to young person and student through analysing their mental capabilities in order
to identify the person that will take decision on behalf of student.
P2 Youth and community worker contribute positively in development of society and young
people
Youth and community worker contributed effectively in growth and development of economic
through supporting people that have limited resource or are not able to perform various function
effectively as other people (Ellis and Abdi, 2017). Therefore various contributions of youth and
community worker in development of society and young people are:
They help in resolving social issue faced by people: Youth and community workers by taking
various steps to solve problem that exist in society helps in smooth operation of economic. Youth
centre by providing various services to younger people and student that have been excluded from
school and college is able to improve their knowledge and skill so that they can perform various
functions in life. It is most essential issue or problem faced by people of UK as there are number
of children that have left education so community by taking step helps in growth and
development of country.

Services and support to people: Various social services and support are provided to students so
that they can get different opportunities in future career. They help in generating various
employment opportunities for younger youth through improvement in their skills and knowledge
to perform large number of function in order to earn a living. Therefore such organisation helps
in economic development through generating employment opportunities and enhancing
knowledge of students.
Enhance living standard of people: Such community worker and youth provide guide and
direction to young people and financial support so that they can learn new things and continue
their education and training in order to get job in future prospective. Support provides to young
people helps in improving their lifestyles by using their specialised skill to identify the reason for
excluding from education (Bright, Pugh and Clarke, 2018). Thus, it helps them to formulate
appropriate strategies to motivate people to take steps to further study so that they can grow and
developed for better future. It can also be stated that enhancement of living standard of people
promotes economic growth and development of country.
Social injustice: There are number of people that face problem of social injustice and
discrimination on basis of gender, caste and religion. So youth and community worker by
providing equal opportunities to younger people provide support to them to grow and develop
their knowledge.
Therefore it can be stated that youth and community worker helps in reducing poverty,
unemployment and injustice within society to provide equal opportunities to all individual for
economic development of country. Thus, there are important institute for society as it helps in
raising living standard of people by making their life better.

P3 Local Community Initiative
Currently different initiatives of local communities are giving their huge contribution
positively influencing young people within the United Kingdom. Of course many students not
able to continue their education because of many reasons, in which these local youth
development communities encourage them to continue education (Goodyear-Smith, Corter and

Suh, 2016). The main of these communities is to increase the levels of literacy within whole
country. Nowadays people also already get motivated to complete their full education to achieve
better results in person life. Youth should understand one common thing that without education
no one can easily survive in this dynamic and modern world. That’s why currently a local
community is putting their huge efforts towards motivating and encouraging youth for properly
completing their education. According to community, without proper education a person can get
influenced through various bad habits. In this situation, education and literacy is the only
appropriate base for protecting youth from various bad habits and addictions. Currently local
communities have taken different initiatives for systematically utilising youth and community
work for gaining positive outcomes to young people. In the United Kingdom, large number of
people comes from young age group. That’s why these all initiatives of communities are
necessary for aware young people about actual value of education.
Local community and many other social organisations are also taking different initiatives
in the youth welfare. Day by day many negative elements are increasing within the society
because of illiteracy and lack of education. In this situation, initiatives which these organisations
and communities has started in youth welfare will really support to young people. Many times a
local community within the United Kingdom organises various motivational seminars. These
seminars mainly motive to young people for taking full education (Lepper, 2017). When a person
properly completes its education, then it will able to achieve effective results in its person life.
There is education is the only way to whole youth to get different progressive levels within
personal life. Currently many different communities are existing in the UK which completely
work in youth welfare. They create some productive policies for creating a safe and secure zone
for young people of this country. In this situation, proper education is also a major part of this
zone, because when people get educated, then they automatically will be developed a safe and
secure zone around. According to various organisations and communities, currently education is
only one of the best ways to develop the productivity of whole youth within the UK. That’s why
initiatives which has taken by local community plays great role in the terms of enabling positive
outcomes for young people.

P4 Responsibilities of youth and community workers in initiative
All youth and community workers always has required to completely understand and
fulfil their responsibilities within the initiative. In this situation, some major responsibilities of
these workers has been discussed below;
Consider legal and ethical considerations: These youth and community workers has always
required to completely follow different legal and ethical considerations (Paceley, Goffnett and
Gandy‐Guedes, 2017). When these workers will properly follow these considerations in their
daily operations, then they able to maintain an ethical environment within their workplace. On
the other side, these legal and ethical considerations will provide some productive ways to youth
and community worker for running their all operations on progressive manner.
Establish effective communication with young people: Youth and community workers are
responsible to properly communicate with different young people within country. By fulfilling
this responsibility, these workers will easily able to provide the best services young people.
When a worker effectively communicates with young people, then it can easily understand actual
reasons of young people which was influenced them to stop taking proper education. On the
other side, with support of effective communication, workers will able to find more appropriate
solutions in youth welfare.
Encourage youth: These youth and community workers are highly responsible to encourage
young people for always completing their education in any condition, because proper education
always provides some better results within personal life. They need to motivate young people
for becoming a literate person. With the support of this responsibility, workers will able to
completely build an effective and productive youth within whole country (Friel, 2019). That’s
why all youth and community workers has highly required to properly fulfil this responsibility in
their job role for effectively encouraging youth to complete full education.
Evaluation
Effectiveness of initiative plays great role in maximizing the input of youth and
community workers to get positive outcomes for young people. When youth and community take
any initiative in the welfare of young people, then that initiative can really positively affect to all

some productive initiative towards getting positive outcomes for young people.

P5 Responsibilities of youth and community workers in multidisciplinary teams
There are a lot of responsibilities which the community workers have in the society so
that they can make the living of the people better. There are various measures which have to be
taken by the workers so that they can improve the youth’s living. Following are the
responsibilities of the workers in the community.
 There is a requirement of a lot of knowledge which has to be given and received in this
working field so that they can provide the need which they look for. The youth is facing
depression which needs proper care and psychologist to deal with it professionally so that
they can help the youth.
 The social workers have to be motivated and not looking for personal benefits in this
field (Tremblay and et.al., 2018). They must do all the possible help which they can so
that there is a better functioning for them.
 Youth is facing a lot of unemployment which is why they need more help so that they can
have a better lifestyle for themselves and be motivated from time to time so that they can
give their best in the world. There have to be researches which have to be made by the
social workers so that they can understand the situation in front of them better.
 Not all the situation needs the same solution which is why the knowledge and experience
plays a very important role in this situation so that they can have a better functioning.
There has to be an improvement in the well being of the clients of the community
workers.
 Basic needs like health care, child care, food stamps, etc have to be provided to the
clients so that they can increase their knowledge which will make their life’s better
(Ramey, Rose-Krasnor and Lawford, 2017). It is very important for employees to
understand the students who are not being accepted in the school, this factor can lead to a
lot of problems in the future for the students.

 There has to be a follow check up’s on the students is the role and responsibility of the
workers so that they can improve the methods or improve the life of the students on time
before any major trouble.
P6 Value of multidisciplinary approach to youth and community work
There are a lot of values which have to be taken care of by the youth and community workers
so that there is an improvement in the lifestyle of the people. The best of services have to be
provided to the clients of this society welfare so that there is a better functioning which is a very
important factor. Satisfaction of the workers and the clients has to be present in this factor.
 Clear goal
There has to be a clear goal in front of the workers of this community so that they can have a
better functioning which is going to be providing the best of services to the people which are a
great factor for the society (Pollack, 2017). The clients will feel more comfortable and accepted
when they approach for help from these workers which is going to be a good sign for the
organization. There are a lot of people who are facing depression in the school because they are
not being accepted either in school or at home which can result in a negative upbringing of the
child or the child shuts down from the world.
 Decision making
There are a lot of decisions which have to be taken by the workers of community so that they
can find the right measure for the client. Not all the problems have one solution which is having
the right knowledge will require the right teacher but that same students knowing the depression
needs a psychologist as well so that there is a better result of the situation (García‐Poole, Byrne
and Rodrigo, 2018). There is a need for professionals to deal with different issues in the school.
 Improve processing and services
Improvement is required not just in the clients but also the community which is working for
the benefit of the people so that there is a better functioning. This is going to help the clients get
the best of services and improve faster. The results are going to be better and the people are
going to have a healthier life faster and the society is going to grow in the world together. There

is going to be a good team work and the society is going to look at the world as one which is
positive to live within.

P7 Key issues of inequality
There is a lot of discrimination as well which can take place in the community workers
based on the culture, race, colour, etc. This is not a good sign for the working of the society and
the working of the community workers is also not going to be up to the mark. There is no help in
the organization if there is a discrimination of any sort in the work place. The environment of the
organization has to be healthy only then they will be able to provide the clients with the right and
best services (Sourk, Weiler and Cavell, 2019). Due to discrimination the motivation and the
motive of working in the organization can reduce of the people which has to be build upon so
that the objectives of the organization can be met so that there is a better functioning which is
going to be very helpful for a long run.
There are a lot of people who can go into depression due to this reason and that can make
the organization not be able to provide the best of services to the clients as well. Working as a
team is a very important factor which will be missing and the society change they want to get
will not be possible without a good team work. The workers are going to be professionals so that
they can deal with the problems in the internal environment which reflects positive on the
outside of the organization which is a very important factor. There has to be acceptance of all the
workers and the clients in the working community so that they can get the best in return as well
which is a very important factor for the people (Sprague Martinez and et.al., 2018). There is no
help which makes the individuals in the world emotionally weak and they lose hope of making
the life better. It is very important that there is any kind of acceptance which the individuals must
have so that they have a ray of hope in their life’s so that they can make a better life for
themselves without someone else’s help. There is a requirement of a lot of improvement in this
field so that they can have a better functioning for the clients and improving the society’s
lifestyle which is a very essential factor.

P8 Impact of key issues on the development and well being of an identified young person
There are a lot of challenges which the younger generation can face due to acceptance
and discrimination in the life in front of them. There are changes which are that they are not
given the desired job which they need because of discrimination which has to be improved. It is
because of such reasons that the young generation can go in to depression easily because they are
emotionally not so strong and they do not know how to cope with their problems (Driskell,
2017). There has to be a support which has to be provided to these kinds of people so that they
can have a better functioning for themselves which is going to be very helpful or the long run in
the society. There has to be team work which has to be present in all the measures which are
taken in life.
Individuals have a tendency of depending on people which is a very good factor for the
organization but they have to understand that they can do anything they wish to without anyone
else’s help. There are a lot of issues they have to face in the world alone and they cannot be
dependent on anyone and lose hope. They have to keep trying and improving so that tomorrow
can be a better day (Seal, 2016). When there is no acceptance of the people then also they feel
like they are not wanted and if they try to fit in anywhere they will not be accepted there as well.
There are a lot of insecurities which are present in the young generations regarding life and they
make their life’s based on the experience they have had in school which is a very wrong take of
them. In schools, they were not accepted does not mean they will not be accepted in the world
outside as well which to be has improved in their mind before them entire the world outside.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that there are various legislation existing which each youth and
community worker need to adhere while its operation and activities. Reason is, with the support
of legislation all worker can easily maintain an ethical environment within their all operations.
These youth and community workers always enables to all young people for developing
themselves. These workers mainly encourage young people to give higher priority to education
aspect, because without proper education a young person can’t develop it-self. That’s why
education plays very great role for young people. When a young person properly completes its
education, then it will able to contribute positively within society. These workers have highly

required to fulfil their various responsibilities within the initiative and multidisciplinary team,
because when these workers properly play their job role, then they will easily enable positive
outcomes for young people. Currently youth and community workers are able to use various
productive techniques and strategies for systematically dealing with different issues within their
daily operations.
