INTRODUCTION
Youth and community worker can be describe as those workers that belongs to different
clusters and social groups. These are working in order to support different types of people
and individual in several phases of their lives (Kapoulitsas and Corcoran, 2015). It is very
important to support and enhance the moral of youth and community works as this will lead
to help in enhancing the overall performance. Youth and community worker are very
effective in enabling young worker to develop their skills as well as contribute positively to
society. This will assist in gain g positive outcomes. This report is based on the Youth and
community worker of UK that are working in care centre within the United Kingdom area.
This report includes different legislation related to youth and community work practices as
well as identify different ways through which community worker enable development of
people. Moreover it consist of local community initiative along with the responsibility of
youth and community workers. In this report role of worker in multidisciplinary teams are
identified as well as its values are also determined. Apart from this different issues and
problems are also determined.

P1 Summarise key legislation of direct relevance to youth and community work practice
and community development.
There are different types of rules and regulations are developed that will support in
directing youth and community worker. It is very crucial to understand and determine
different legislation that has direct relevance related to the worker practices as well as
development of community. This will lead to providing proper guidance and successful
completion of task and activities. It is essential for youth and community worker to consider
these legislation in order to perform their task and activities more ethically. There ser several
key legislation that will support in directing youth and community work practices and these
legislation are mention below in detail.
UK youth policy – There are various policies are developed in UK regarding youth and
community workers. These policies lead to have direct impact on overall performance of

worker as well a development of community. Some example of UK Policies regarding youth
and community includes national youth policy of UK. This policies is governed by different
legislation and practices as it consist of different aspect such as promotion of positive culture
and creativity, social inclusion of youth as well as increase in education quality. The
legislation related to UK youth policy will lead to have direct impact on development of
community as this will enhance to performance of youth and community task. It is crucial for
care centre home to adhere these legislation and UK youth policies as this will lead to have

Children and social work art, 2017 - This is one of the essential legislation that is
developed in order to provide support and welfare to young children (Garcia-Reid, Peterson
and Reid, 2015). This act was develop in 2017 and motive of UK government to create this
legislation is to promote safeguarding as well as well being of children. According to this act
all activities that is conducted by centre care home or community worker will be in support of
children by considering their interest. The children and social work action will lead to have
emphasis on their mental and physical health of individual and this legislation have direct
relevance to the growth of community

There are different strategies and plan developed by youth and community worker in
order to provide assistance to society. These strategies will lead to enhance the overall
performance of youth and community worker as well as help in conducting their task and
activity in more effective manner. It is essential the work of youth and community worker
will lead enable young people in order to develop themselves. Strategies that is developed by
centre home will lead to have significant impact on performance of youth and community
worker and they are able to contribute positivity in growth and development of society.
Youth and community workers can improve the performance and living of young people by
considering 5C’s such as connection, confidence, character, competences and contribution.
Different ways through which youth and community worker lead to contribute to society
positivity are mentioned below with description.
Training and educations – This is one of the effective and efficient techniques that is used
by youth and community worker in order to enhance the level of education in people. This
approach will assist in improving confidence, contribution and competencies of young

individual. Since these people are excluded from school so it is beneficial for them to get
proper education as well as develop their knowledge. This approaches of youth and
community worker will lead to have significant impact on young people as through training
they will be able to develop desired skills and capability. This strategy will lead to provide
shape the future of children.
Early intervention – This strategy can be describe as the process of intervening with
individual at very early stage. Early intervention is very effective strategy which is created by

There are different way through which the local community of UK can utilise youth
and community worker in order to enable positive outcomes. It is very important for
development and growth of society and its individual (Pullen Sansfaçon, Robichaud and
Dumais-Michaud, 2015). For example, youth and community worker are taking different
initiative in order to re- engaging individual to management team. This initiative taken by
UK care centre in for gaining positive outcome will lead to have significant impact on young
individual. For this initiative that is utilise by youth and community worker will lead to have
positive impact on young individual. For this funding will be providing by government. IN
this initiative people of age group above 15 will be considered. Re arrangement or
engagement into management team will lead to increase in different skills and capability of
young individual. This initiative will be very beneficial for future development and attaining
desire goals. This will be very supportive in determining whether it will lead to maximise the
inputs of community and youth worker for gaining positive outcomes.
Initiative of youth and community worker will not only have impact on young people
of children but it will also lead to have significant affect on their families. This initiative is
very supportive in enhance the cultural environment as well as increase the involvement of

individual towards development and growth (Sanders and et. al., 2015). Engagement with
management team will lead to enhance personality and personal development as well as
accurate management of youth centre. All of the initiative will lead to contribute effectively
as well as gaining positive outcomes from the initiatives.

initiative identified.
There are several role and responsibility of community worker that will lead to support in
gaining desired outcomes. It is essential for youth and community worker in order to conduct
their task and activities in effective and efficient manner . there are certain responsibility
provided to youth and community worker by organisation that will support in attaining goals.
It is crucial that initiative and work practices of worker are conducted by considering ethics
and morals. This will assist in conducting set of task and activities in correct and appropriate
manner. Different responsibility of several youth and community worker are described below
with detailed descriptions.
Correct and active participation – It is responsibility of youth and community worker to
actively participate in different activities of society in order to provide them benefits. Active
participation will lead to enhance their knowledge and understanding (McInroy and Craig,
2015). For re- engaging individual to management team, it is major responsibility of youth
worker to activity participate in this initiative activity and increase potential of young person.
It is crucial responsibility of youth and community worker to gain more knowledge and
understanding about young people. Thos will in developing better and effective strategies that

and efficient solution to problems as well as perform youth and community work practices in
more creative manner. This will lead to providing support in more creative manner as well as
helping young individual in by consider different professionals form different fields. There
are different responsibility of youth and community workers by working with
multidisciplinary terms are mention below.
Leadership – It is one of the crucial responsibility of youth and community workers to
provide leadership in order to manage different activities as well as performing task in
accurate manner that is related to multidisciplinary terms. Leadership will lead to influence
different professional for various field in order to provide proper direction as well as
accomplishment of desired goals. This will lead to conducting tasks and activities considering

inequality and this will lead to have direct impact over social cohesion. By analyse and
evaluating these issues youth and community workers will be able to take correct actions as
well as resolve these issues. Key issues are given below along with the impact on social
cohesion.
Inappropriate culture – This is the issues that arise due to inadequate support of youth
centre to each and every worker. In this youth and community worker belongs to different
cultural background that will lead to have direct impact on team (Ord, 2016). Inappropriate
culture will have influence over work practices of youth and community worker as well as
management of team. Increase in inequality issues due to in appropriate working culture will
lead to have direct impact on social cohesion. Due to biases decision as well as adaptation of
professionals is one of the major issues that affect the performance of community worker.

Conflicts - Conflicts between team and its member is one of the major reason the ineffective
performance of youth and community workers. There are many reason that will lead to create

unity of society. Conflicts will increase due to clash of interest and view points between

P8 Analyse the impact of key issues on the development and wellbeing of an identified
young person requiring the support of youth and community services.
There are several key issues have been identified above and these issues will lead to
have impact on growth or well being of young individual. There are many people who require
support and assistance in development by youth and community worker. Due to increase in
issues and problems amount the community practices worker will not be able to provide
proper assistance to young people. This will lead to have negative influence over young
individual as lack of performance of youth and community worker will not be able to meet
with the requirements. It is essential to analyse various issues that will lead to have
influence over well being as well as development of young person. Different issues are
mention below in detail.
Mental pressure – Due to issues and challenges youth and community workers will not be
able to provide effective and efficient services. Inequality and biased decision making
process is one of the crucial issues as this will lead to increase in mental pressure among
youth and community worker and affect development of young person. Increase in emotional
stress will lead to have negative impact on their performance as well as accomplishment of
set goals and objectives.
Lower confidence – This is the issues that arise because of increase in conflicts among team
members. Lower confidence will have affect well being and development of young person as
due to lower confidence youth and community worker they are not able to give their best in
work practices (Wong and et. al., 2015). Decrease in confidence of worker will lead to have
impact on their capabilities as well as skills to conduct work practices in better or appropriate
manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that youth and community workers are
conducting different activities in order to develop young individual. It is crucial to understand
and analyse different legislation that is developed by government in order to perform required
task and activities in appropriate manner. It is essential to utilise the young and community
work by local community in order to gain positive outcomes. Moreover, multidisciplinary
team are very valuable for conducting youth and community work practices in required

manner. Apart for this it has been identified that there are several issues that is related to
inequality and this will have impact on well being of individual.
