older generation. Carroll supports the fact that there are more of the problems that are faced by
the youth today as compared by the older generation due to the influence of the technology. The
reason behind the support of the author in regard to the topic is that technology has changed the
way youth used to be and do in recent past.
The article by Sharlene Gale and Graeme Codington is a book written as an article. The
two authors wrote the book in regard to the challenges faced by the children in the modern world
just as compared to the older generation. It was published in the year 1999. It reflects the

agree with the fact that there problems faced by the children as compared to the older generation.
Actually Carroll agrees with whoever supports the fact that technology has influenced the living
standards of the children. The idea discussed here is the fact that there challenges brought about
by the technology affecting the living standards of children. In my research I feel eager in getting
to the research process in the reflection of the two research questions on three problems facing
children today as compared to the older generation. My concern is the formulation of the
hypothesis and the aim of the research. Children are facing some challenges as compared to the
older generation. In held generation were not much connected to issues concerning the
technology but in the young generation today most of the challenges are mostly caused by the
effects of the technology.
The article by Sharlene Gale S. and Graeme Codington is basically on modernism
challenges that face young children in comparison with older generation. The main idea in the
article is how modernity needs facts that have changed the mind of small children. In comparison
to the today and old generation, Sharlene Gale S. and Graeme Codington agree to the fact there
are some of the challenges faced by today youths in their technological skills. According to the
Sharlene Gale S. and Graeme Codington, older generation mostly related to natural food hence
there were minimal cases of the obesity. They were brought up without the influence of the
technology and children could mature according to their stages but this generation is fed by so
many things that make them know more than they are supposed.

The two sources have some similar connection based on the topic of discussion on
challenges faced by the young children in comparison to the older generation. Both authors of
the sources agree to the fact that in modern world, children are exposed too much of the
technology and modernity things which change their way of doing things and thinking. The
source has difference in the setting and tone of expressing the same. They have different frame
time of publication but all in they all divert to the same idea today challenges facing youth.
I am supporting the fact discussed in the two sources in fact that there are some
challenges which faces youths in current generation in comparison to the older generation. In
today generation children are exposed too much of the technology and gaining a lot of the skills
which sometimes ruins their moral values.
I am convinced to use the first source Carroll in my connection with topic of study. I am
much convinced that the source is deeply reflecting the concern. I will apply it through use of the
facts in the source to elaborate more on audience and the readers of my research work to
convince them on challenges that are faced by children today as compared to older generation.
The reason behind choosing this source is that is more elaborate on what are causes the
challenges just differently from the old generation. The purpose for the help of the creator with
respect to the subject is that innovation has changed the way youth used to be and do in later
past. The thought here is innovation effect of good and expectation for everyday comforts of the
youthful kids when contrasted with the more established age. Carroll concur with the way that
there issues looked by the kids when contrasted with the more seasoned age. All things
considered Carroll concurs with whoever underpins the way that innovation has impacted the
