AI Summary
This assignment presents a health assessment of a 79-year-old patient named Yun, focusing on his recent thrombotic cerebrovascular accident (CVA). The assessment begins with identifying two risk factors, high blood pressure and obesity, and their contribution to Yun's condition. It then highlights an impulsive behavior issue affecting his daily living activities and suggests cognitive behavioral therapy as a solution. The assignment details two principles of health assessment: inspection and palpation. Using a wellness approach, the author outlines how to meet Yun’s physical, physiological, and psychosocial needs, including the use of alteplase for treatment and ensuring a safe environment. The assignment concludes by addressing the concerns of Yun’s wife, recommending referrals and support services to aid in his care, such as encouraging physical exercise and a low-salt diet for weight management and blood pressure control. The assignment is supported by references to relevant medical literature.
