1. Sustainability concerns.
Sustainability is the procedure of maintaining change in a balanced environment. It is a
complex concept in tourism industry. This is the development which meets the needs of the
present generations while without compromising with the development of future generation and
using scarce resources effectively and efficiently. There are three pillars of sustainability and
according to me each pillar has certain sustainability concern in the tourism industry of zambia
and they are discussed below :
 Environmental : Being in the tourism industry, this is the potency of the environment to
assist a determined level of environmental quality and natural resource extraction rate
indefinitely. According to me this is one of the biggest problem of the and it receives
very low efforts for solving the problems.
 Economic : At this pillar of the economy, most economies feel sustained. According to
me, in this pillar sustainable is concerned with profitability. Also, to promote and foster
motivator for the average person to do their bit where and when they can.
 Social : This pillar is concerned with the ability of the social system in the tourism
industry and is mainly relatable to the consciousness of and legislation protection of the
health of people from pollution and other harmful activities of business and other
organisations.
2. Importance of sustainability outcome.
There are many serious concerns about the sustainability but according to me for the
tourism industry, the most important concern is related to the safety and security of the tourist.
As there are many tourist who visit the country must be given safe and secure environment so
that they feel like home. Apart from this, in order to maintain its natural beauty I will suggest
that the industry must focus more on maintaining the beauty of natural environment by doing
afforestation, using resources effectively and efficiently, adopting renewable sources of energy,
using recyclable materials more, etc.
