2SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Business Outline:
Zedong is a Malaysia based T-Shirt selling organization. The organization is operating in
Malaysia for last ten years. Zedong has total fifteen offline retail shops throughout Malaysia.
Each retail store has a manager and several staff to manage daily processes. Zedong has
headquarter from where each store is managed. By the end of day, manager of each store fax
daily sales and attendance report to headquarter. Each store has a small scaled system that
connects accountant, manager and front desk computers. This in-house system uses Wi-Fi to
connect all the computers. The organization does not have any connection between the retail
outlets. Every outlet connects to each other through headquarter only. Current inventory
management approach is creating various issues. Lack of communication is making it hard for
management to control business of such a large scale. Often the data received from retail stores
does not match with the data stored in headquarter database. Zedong offers home delivery to
customers. Third party delivery services are hired to deliver product to customers given at the
time of placing orders. Home delivery happens when a specific product is unavailable. If the
customer pays in advance, when new stock arrives then organization sends preordered products
to customer through home delivery. Organization is having issues in increasing the business into
the areas that lies between two retail stores or cities near to a retail store.
Purpose of the System:
The primary objective of the system is to overcome geographical barrier. The system
should deliver a digital platform to the customer that can be accessed from remotely. The system
will be a web based system. This will increase customer reach. Another purpose of the system is
to connect all the retail stores with headquarter. All the retail stores can track each other’s
