health and safety policy

Protecting employees from danger while at work is one of the key goals of the health and safety policies and procedures established with the employer. They must be safeguarded against any health dangers associated with their work as well as physical injury.

To make sure they are current and effective in protecting workers, health and safety rules and procedures should be constantly evaluated. When assessing these rules and procedures, any alterations to the workplace or to the work processes should be taken into consideration.

The health and safety policies and procedures that are applicable to workers should be made clear to them, and workers should receive sufficient training on how to complete activities at work safely.

All companies have a responsibility to protect their employees' health, safety, and welfare to the best of their ability. They also have a responsibility to safeguard visitors from risks connected to their business operations

Defining characteristics of Active's health and safety policies and practices

  • Identify potential threats to your safety (or the safety of anyone else) and put protective measures in place.
  • Give you clear information, describe how risks will be managed, and identify the person(s) accountable. There are "adequate and sufficient" risk evaluations carried out. The goal is to identify risks, gauge their likelihood of causing harm, and assess how well control measures work.
  • Consult you and collaborate with you to keep everyone safe at work.
  • Give your personnel the free health and safety training they require to execute their jobs. Comprehensible information, guidance, teaching, training, and supervision will be provided to staff as needed to ensure their health, safety, and that of others.
  • Any necessary equipment and protective apparel should be given to the staff without charge, and it should be well-maintained.
  • Report severe injuries, fatalities, illnesses, and potentially harmful situations at work.
  • Have insurance that will cover you if you are harmed or become unwell at work. A hard copy or digital copy of the most recent insurance certificate should be put somewhere you can quickly read it.
