2 INTRODUCTION
Ethics is the set of rules which tells about what is right and what is wrong. Today, it is the
responsibility of every organisation to adopt fair practices to run the business. In this present
report, it will discuss about the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) of Bloor Homes
Limited. It is a consultant firm which provides training solution for engineering, procurement,
business process, project management and constructions, ship building and manufacturing sector.
As a consultant of Greenleaf consulting firm, my responsibility is to give advice about the ethics
and corporate social responsibility so that they work in healthy environment without taking any
unfair trade practices. Present report will discuss about the current policies and position of Client
in terms of ethics. Furthermore, the advantages of this layout to the company and the
responsibilities of management towards the ethics and corporate social responsibilities will also
be taken into consideration. On the other side, it will discuss the theory of values through which
Bloor Homes limited company manage their responsible management. Present report based on
the ethical issues. Bloor Homes builders should adopt following ethical environment which is
mention in this report. Furthermore, it will explain the important areas for the company to
consider when they consider CSR responsibilities such as ethical supply chains, environment
sustainable and
3 Responsibilities management and CSR
Corporate Social Responsibilities is a form of corporate business model. It
contains values, roles and responsibilities of management towards the society. It is type
of corporate self-regulation. As a consultant, it's my responsibility to give suggestion on
the topic of CSR, so that company can manage their policies accordingly. Bloor Homes
builders CSR policies includes:
Bloor Homes builders carry regular internal audit to ensure that they always follow the
health and safety regulations(Carroll and Buchholtz, 2014).
Their quality and investments always give positive impact on growth and customer
satisfaction.
Bloor Homes builders always support local communities through charity, religious
establishments etc.
Bloor Homes builders should consider social welfare as on priority basis.

Greenleaf clients also help to maintain its position in the market like one of the client of
Greenleaf is Bloor Homes limited.
They also create job opportunities for talented youth within the event industries. They
advertised different jobs and looking for new joining.
Bloor Homes builders should committed to their statement with the customers. They
also promote energy-saving and waste reduction.
These are the CSR policies of the Bloor Homes builders which should necessary to
implied. CSR is necessary to adopt, it helps to maintain the good image in market or in
front of the customers, clients, suppliers. Company should adopt these fair practise to
maintain its long term sustainability (Carroll, 2015 ). The reasons behind adopting CSR
are given below:
Every employee of an organisation wants their company to be socially responsible.
Employee are more concerned about the external environment. Otherwise, they don't
interested to do work with those companies, So that to adopt talented staff Organisation
should adopt fair practises and always maintain the society happy. 83% employees
leaving their jobs if their employer used child lobar. On the other side according to the
research that employee wants from their employer to give charity and helps to build
religion establishments (Chin, Hambrick and Treviño, 2013).
Customers always deal with those companies who are well managed and their activities
towards the society is good. Clients also check the image and reputation of the company
before dealing. 88% customers think that company should need to achieve their business
goals by improving the external environment.
Organisation should adopt CSR practices to build competitive immunity. It helps
organisation to make sustainable position in the long-term market. CSR is the factor
through which company accomplish their long-term target (Ciulla ed., 2014).
Organisation should adopt ethical values to maintain the economy positive. It needs to
help economy by giving new services job opportunities and social values.
Organisation needs to adopt ethical values to maintain the company standard in front of
the customers. Management is responsibility is ton abide all rules and regulations, so that
they give benefits to the customers.

From the above reasons that Greenleaf should adopt the CSR activities to maintain its
long term growth. If company fails to adopt those fair activities, they could not
accomplish the organization’s objectives (Clapp and Rowlands, 2014).
In the business world, suppliers, clients, customers, and other stakeholders are the key
drivers which help to run business smoothly. It supports company in measuring their
success. In 1950 and 1960, CSR emerged as a priority for the organisation. As a
consultant, it's my duty to provide the key aspects of CSR in the organisation. CSR also
gives some benefits if they follow the social responsibility. In this context, company
should take their business decision on the basis of society aspects. Social responsibility is
more than just giving charity and donation (Hopkins, 2016). It is about contributing in
health and welfare services to the society.
Benefits of Corporate social responsibilities
Positive impacts in the community: CSR is an essential fair practice which is followed
by the organisation. Social responsibilities encourage business to adopt fair practices. It
helps organisation to maintain its community values in the market. Organisation needs to
adopt social responsibilities in terms of fulfilling the needs and wants of the clients. With
the help of CSR, firm can grow its business into positive path.
It supports public values: Public is the most important factor, it is a value that
organisation contribute its services to the society. Organisation gets benefit from the
public if they follow the ethical guidance. Greenleaf gets many benefits by providing
various services.
Being an employer of choice: CSR also gives good reputation in front of the employees
in the organisation. There are many ways through which employer get first position in the
employee’s choice. Study shown that CSR helps employer to being a great idol person in
the society. This helps to maintain talented employees in the organisation(Lawrence,
and (Weber, 2014).

increase the personal and professional life's. Providing good opportunities to the
employees involved the great opportunities. In terms of teaching new skills and
knowledge to the staff Which can be enhance the professionalism. Employer gives social

Enhances the relationship with the clients: Organisation adopt social activities and
maintain ethical environment in the company. It helps to retain good relationship with
clients. It assists more new work and grow more profit for the organisation. It maintains
Trust between the company and their clients. It also helps to strengthen alliances and
build strong working relation (Lefkowitz, 2017). Corporate social responsibilities
Greenleaf client is Bloor Homes Limited. On the other side for get or more benefits
organisation may partner with non profit organisation, So that they achieve the
organisation objectives(Manning, 2018).
Negative Aspects of Corporate social responsibility
However, many of the organisation have not taken CSR seriously. Generally its found in
financial reporting, Quality of goods and services, Production, Business scams, labour safety,
employee dissatisfaction and intentionally causing. These are the activities in which company
may do illegal activities. Besides this organisation do not abide the legislations and important
laws like. Law of wages, labour safety, insurance, these all factors which is important for the
organisation to maintain its stability in the Market. There are some negative aspects of corporate
social responsibilities are given below.
Customer reputation if the company fails to build public reputation. They may suffer heavy loss
due CSR. In that case government is responsible to take against this organisation which is not
contributed their services towards the society developments(Muller, 2014). Some business are
not ready to deal with the society and their issues. Lack of society developments skills company
will not support the society issue. In this context planning needs manager to develop some
strategies to maintain the image in the society. It is the responsibility of the manger to deal with
the society issues. It involves high cost ton handle the complex issues of the society. In order to
bear the cost of solve the issues. This happens may decrease the profit revenue of the company,
during the high competition sometimes company will not consider the social activities problems

limited. To maintain the business environment Greenleaf needs to adopt fair practise with their

clients. Greenleaf is the good market value company which provide fair goods and services and
effective advises to their client companies. As consultant of Greenleaf company (Niebuhr, 2013).
Its my responsibility to give advice to the client that your product and services are ethical and not
harmful for the society. Company should prepare business plans according to the ethics which is
not harmful and negative for the clients. Ethics helps company to follow correct guidelines
which is healthy for the employees and for the clients as well. Ethics means when company
follows the positive path during their businesses on the basis of Clients needs and wants
(Pedersen, ed., 2015). Ethics is important to maintain the image in front of the customers. On the
other side Greenleaf also may increases their client list and earn maximum profit. Ethic
principles helps manager to make business plans so that company full fills their society issues.
Due to lack of fairness, justice, trust. On one can interested to work with that company.
Greenleaf company needs to adopt ethical principles to maintain its market position. Ethical
principles are Beneficence, Fairness, Truthfulness, Respect towards the society. These some
ethical principles helps organisation to maintain the trust between the clients and customers
(Preuss, 2013). To accomplish the responsibility to make responsible management manager is
responsible to full fill the all ethics during the business activities. Greenleaf company attracts
clients on the basis of good experience and by giving good services. To develop the business
plan manger needs to adopt some ethical theories by which they make business plans according
the satisfaction level of customers. Fair business plans helps business to attract more new profit
revenue and good market reputation. There are some ethic theories are mentioned given below.
Virtue Theory: In this theory it explains that ethics involves some rules and regulations
through which company get make their business policies more effectively. It contains learning
rules. This theory tells that our moral behaviour comes from our habits. Virtue theory includes
Courage, fortitude, liberality, truthfulness (Saeidi, et.al, 2015). These all factors must be consider
while making business plans. It helps company to build more client and profit. Good business
habits will give more client attraction and sales revenue. This theory contains good behaviour
traits which is important to maintain some ethical features. Virtue effects plays a very positive
impact on the business activities. This theory gives guidance to the company to manager their
responsible work effectively. Greenleaf provides guidance about the contraction to the Bloor
Homes limited. It is a housebuilder based company. It is the client of Greenleaf company. On the

Duty theory: this is the another theory of ethic. It contains the roles and obligations. It is
some moral obligations that someone has towards another person (Salib et.al, 2015). This theory
explains that Bloor Homes builders have some responsibility towards the society, clients and
employees. Its responsibility of Bloor Homes builders towards the employees is to give enough
salary according to their skills, and company has duty to solve social problems and contribute
their some part towards development. Furthermore, the main obligation towards their clients that
they always trustworthy and loyal with their clients always. Duty theory explains the obligation
of the person towards their own duty. The benefits of this theory is they guide company to adopt
fair practises which is good for the company environment (Suliman, Al-Khatib and Thomas,
2016). For example Greenleaf company donate some part of profit to poor peoples. It is the
obligation of the company toward the development of society. On the other side Greenleaf
responsibility towards their clients is to give fair information and services which is beneficial for
client requirements. Furthermore, obligation towards the employees is to give fair wages and
salary without and diversification, avoid partiality among employees, and give motivation to
enhance their performance. These all are the obligations of the company towards the society.
Overall, from the above explanation of the theories. It was concludes that it helps manger
to make decision on the basis of ethical theories so that with the accomplishment of work they
also focus on the social issues. These theories suggest company to abide the rules and regulations
imposing by the government is need to be followed otherwise government take strict action
against fraud organisation. It helps to protect the company through social issues as well.

long lasting they should adopt duty theory to ensure the better environment in the company.
They need to guide the proper roles and obligations of the employees towards the task.

Ethical supply chain: it helps to bring sustainable procurement in the business which helps to
make positive environment in the company. For that company needs to adopt some issues which

helps Bloor homes limited to avoid risk factor. This is the major area for the company to be
taken for making further decision making process for the company betterment.
In the organisation work they may face many challenges and issues to deal with clients.
These issues may in terms of communication, improper information, business reputation, or may
be related to some ethical issues. Client always work with those companies who is well managed
and have good reputation (Tai, and Chuang, 2014). Greenleaf company needs to maintain the
proper relationship with the clients and always be ready to serve product and services according
to their needs and wants. There are many ethical issue which facing by the business.
Fundamental Issues: fundamental issue is very essential ethical issue face by the
company. It is based on integrity and trust. Basic understanding between company and
their clients should be there. It helps to conduct the business honesty and commitment to
deal customers with positive manner. This issue arises due to having lack of trust. It is the
responsibility of Greenleaf to maintain the good trust with the Bloor Homes to get good
relationship(Vaculchuk, Borodkina and Kobzar, 2016). The relationship of trust should
be there to make your client happy. Sometimes business facing issue to having not good
relation with the client. This happen may decrease the trust of clients which is not good
for the company reputation(Wachs, 2017).
Diversity Issue: On the basis of HSBC group, it explains that in the world there are
different culture and people are exist Who should be treated like a same and give same
respect. This is the big Issue facing buy the company while dealing with clients.
Company should be treat every client same and give equal services to all. Due to theis
sometimes reason clients get hurt with the behaviour of the organisation. And decide to
switch the services.
Issue in Decision making: Sometimes in decision making process business fails to
follow the requirement of clients(Salib, et.al,2015). This is the big reason when company
face the issue to dealing with the customers. Business needs to listen the requirements of
the clients and give the best solution according to their choice.
Governance issues: Businesses may be face issue while dealing with the clients in terms
of not following the rules and regulations of the government. Clients are not interested to
work with those companies which doesn't have good public image.

Business ethical issues are very serious in terms of business image (Tai and Chuang, 2014). On
the other side clients issues with the company is a major part which is important to be full fill
otherwise it gets impact on business image of Greenleaf. May be clients sometimes not satisfied
with the information of the company. This reason decreases the business image in the market.
6. Recommendation
According to the above issues related to the corporate social responsibility is very
important for the company. CSR is the positive activity of the organisation through which they
make their profit (Vaculchuk, Borodkina and Kobzar, 2016). Without having good image it is
very difficult for the company to exist in the market as long time. According to my view
company should abide the social issues. It helps company to make more profit and public image.
This is the measure concern for this organisation who do not abide the ethical principles and
rules and regulations. CSR is the corporate social responsibility in which company should need
to pay attention against the social issues. It includes adopt fair practises, ethical principles,
society benefits, trustworthy relationship with the employees and clients as well. Greenleaf
company should need to adopt fair practises and gives various opportunities to their employee so
that they will enjoy with the company. On the other side Greenleaf company needs to give some
donation and charity to the society development (Lawrence and Weber, 2014). Furthermore, it
will also give some new opportunities to their employees. In terms of workers they need to adopt
some fair practise by which they want to work with the Greenleaf. This is the positive factors
through which they follow the proper guidelines towards the corporate social responsibilities.
There are some points through which it will explain that CSR is important for the Greenleaf
company
Increase the trust: CSR is important to gain the trust of employees as well as clients. It
is the responsibility of the company to adopt social responsibility and take step for
developments. This positive step would take company on high preference of the clients.
Every client before dealing they check the CSR policies of the company. Positive impact
will give more client trust and faith. It increases the trust and faith among employees and
clients (Lefkowitz, 2017).

efforts to the social values, and contributor their part towards the employee
developments. It gives more business and market image.

another side they also want that company should adopt ethical policies. Like fair
remuneration or they treat their customers with the best manner.
