employees are not that productive for business so that hiring new candidate helps to gain
development of business.
Appropriate research methods and conduct primary and secondary research
It is an important section that provide assistance to investigator to undertake research in an
effective manner. Mainly, it includes framework in which researcher collect authentic data and
information that used to draw a valid conclusion within the study. In this context, there are some
techniques and methods that can be applied by research are as follows:
Research philosophy
It is essentially defined as collection of attitudes and expectations concerning the
presence of fact under inquiry in study field, this is the most important aspect of research
methodology.
Positivism philosophy- This adheres to a point of view which is mostly based on
genuine experience obtained via trustworthy observation and analysis.
Interpretivism philosophy- The philosophical approach to thinking social truth
is emphasis of research philosophy, which is a framework and activity of the social science
investigation.
Justification- The positivism research philosophy has been used to perform the current
inquiry. The rationale for employing this philosophy is because positivism is excellent in doing
quantitative analysis as well as the study under consideration is focused on quantitative elements
of impact of different talent management strategies in organisational success.
Research Approaches
The term "research approach" is related to strategy or procedure that involves phases
ranging from general findings to detailed instruments for obtaining, assessing or interpreting

Document Page
Inductive approach- This is mostly interpretive with assumptions applied throughout the
direction of an investigation's conclusion as consequence of observation.
Deductive approach- This is the one which most people think of when they think of
empirical science. Developing hypothesis based on existing knowledge, followed by research
approach to test the hypothesis.
Justification- For undertaking current investigation deductive research approach will be
considered because this is helpful in showing relational interconnection among ideas as well
as variables which are relayed so over factor.
Choice of data
There are two type of investigation such as qualitative and quantitative research.
Qualitative method- It is related to providing the detailed information regarding the
particular subject area.
Quantitative method- This research method is effective in providing the statistical and
mathematical information. It gives the factual understanding about the particular research area.
Justification- In order to undertake current investigation, quantitative method has been
used in which quantify data will have acquired to draw a valid conclusion within the study.
Data collection
Primary and secondary are the two type of method for collecting data.
Primary research- This strategy is mostly used to gather interesting and original
information on certain topic area. It seems to be crucial for gathering first-hand data that really is
specific to a research topic. Different sources are used in the main technique including
questionnaires, interviews, observation etc.
Secondary method- This contains the views and suggestions of several writers in order
to achieve the study objectives. Books, journals, online sources and other sources are among the
various sources used to get knowledge.
Justification- For this, both methods will be applied by researcher (Glaister and et. Al.,
2018). With the help of primary methods questionnaire will be prepared and secondary method
assist in undertaking literature review.

It is procedure of selecting right sample size from larger number of population in order to
gathering authentic data. It includes two types of techniques such as probabilistic and non-
probabilistic sampling method.
Justification- For select sample size researcher will applied probabilistic method in
which respondents are selected as per random basis as they get equal chances to be selected. By
using this, 50 respondents will be selected who are the employees of company.
Chapter 2
Conduct primary and secondary research using appropriate methods
In this, present investigation, information has been collected by using the primary and
secondary both method of data collection (Clarke and Visser, 2019). To collect the information,
researcher needs the cost, access to collect information from authentic sources and also follow all
the ethical considerations while conducting an investigation.
Cost- This is among most important aspects of research. Cost is required to conduct a
research in a more effective way. The investigator is responsible of raising funds so research
activities can be carried out efficiently (Friginal, Mathews and Roberts, 2019).
Access- A researcher must be able to have clear access to accurate sources of knowledge
and data. The data collection source should be accurate and credible in order to gather the correct
information for chosen area while also achieving positive study results (Lê and et. al., 2019).
Ethical considerations- It is important for the researcher to conduct the current study
correctly. To do research ethically, the researcher would make sure that all information is
handled from trustworthy sources only. When gathering data from the primary sources, the
researcher will first obtain each participant's consent and remind them of when and how their
data will be used. When collecting information from reliable source, the researcher should ensure
the overall data is gathered from primary data and that additional knowledge is prioritized. This
will directly lead to the timely and correct collection of overall test data (Novikov and Novikov,
2019). The researcher and other stakeholders may be sure that all ethical guidelines were met
while conducting this analysis by double-checking the findings.

conducting the investigation, I used the secondary sources to collect data in literature review
such as books, articles, journals, scholars and others. These sources are used because information
collected from all the secondary sources are effective and within a less period of time. In the
research methodology, I used the quantitative research method because it is effective in
collecting the authenticate information in order to get the valid conclusion within the study. On
the other hand, there has been a deductive research approach consider because it is related with
the quantitative method and give the valid information to make the overall study reliable as well
as authenticated. I used the positivism research philosophy because this is based on the factual
way that is generated from the observation. Using this research philosophy is effective in
providing the positive research outcomes. In order to collect information, there has been primary
and secondary both methods of data collection considered. In order to collect the data from

provides the information statistical and quantify information for getting the positive outcomes.
Other than this, there could qualitative research method considered in conducting research in
future because this provide the in-depth understanding about the particular area. To collect the
information, there has been questionnaire developed because it is a main part of collection of
information from primary method. It is easy to gather information from using questionnaire. As
an alternate methodology, there could be interview used because it is effective in observe the
opinions of the respondents and give them better outcomes. This method has not used in this
research because it is costlier and time taking method as comparison to the questionnaire
method.

Concept of talent management in business organisation
According to Maurya and Agarwal, (2018), talent management nowadays become
necessity for the business organization to achieve the goal and also growth and development
in the market. It plays crucial role in the placing right person at right time at right place for
the benefit of an institution. In this regard’s employees learn new things in the working
environment and improves the personality. Employees skills has to manage to perform all
the things that are useful to the business and make work more efficiently and effectively
control manner that gives the good output and fight with competitive market. Company
performing various activities to motivate the employees and inspiring to increase the work
quality and also improve the knowledge of an individual. Firm providing various incentives
for their completion of task on time and help in managing team for single motive. The talent
management increases the production of the companies for the demand and supply meet to
the expectation.
Different talent management strategies used by Starbucks for attaining success
According to Mousa and Ayoubi, (2019), There are some talent management
strategies that used for company to achieve the given target: -
Understand the power of job descriptions: The job description tells the individual
that what company requirements for the suitable candidate to get selected. In this
context organisation mention job title, overall duties, necessary skills, work
relationships, tools and equipment used, salary and benefits.
Assess candidate cultural fit: The company needs the selective nature to assign the
right candidate for the work environment and work for learning nature to gain

Importance of talent management in reducing employee turnover
According to Collings, Mellahi and Cascio, (2019), reducing employees’ turnover is
quite good for the organisation and improves with the new and fresh energetic candidate to
the business for giving its time to achieve task. Retention in any firm helps the individual to
work in for producing outcome without reckless for and lazy in the completion task.
Employees change their job because some find new jobs and personal problems in life,
health issue and some are wanted to complete their study. The good thing about reducing
employee’s turnover that its help to gain lot of new things and new opportunities to see
other activities rather than doing only one and specific work and try to achieve everything in
that field. Some employees are not that productive for business so that hiring new candidate
helps to gain development of business.

What your areas of research will cover:
It is an important section that provide assistance to investigator to undertake research
in an effective manner. Mainly, it includes framework in which researcher collect authentic
data and information that used to draw a valid conclusion within the study. In this context,
there are some techniques and methods that can be applied by research are as follows:
Choice of data: There are two type of investigation such as qualitative and
quantitative research. In order to undertake current investigation, quantitative method will
be used in which quantify data will have acquired to draw a valid conclusion within the

study.
Research approach: It is referring to the plan and procedure that, researcher applied
to acquire reliable data towards specified topic. Mainly, it is classified into two methods
such as inductive and deductive research approach. Inductive research approach is related
with the reason by testing existing theory. As per current investigation, researcher will have
selected deductive research approach because it is associated with scientific aspects and also
provide reliable and valid information to make overall study more authentic. With the
assistance of this, researcher make logical result that directly contributes in drawing a valid
conclusion.
Research philosophy: It is related with the values and beliefs that help investigator
to acquire more authentic aspects to address the particular issues present in the study. It is
divided into two methods including positivism and interpretivism research philosophy. In
undertaking current investigation, researcher will select positivism research philosophy. The
main reason behind selecting this method is that it based on factual knowledge which is
gathered from observation. This type of information more authentic in nature.as positivism
research philosophy also claims the social world that can be evaluated as well as understood
in objective way. By this, investigator can easily analysis the research issues.
Data collection: Primary and secondary are the two type of method for collecting
data. For this both methods will be applied by researcher (Glaister and et. Al., 2018). With
the help of primary methods questionnaire will be prepared and secondary method assist in
undertaking literature review.
Sampling: It is procedure of selecting right sample size from larger population with
the aim of gathering authentic data. It includes two types of techniques such as probabilistic
and non-probabilistic sampling method. To select sample size for current investigation
researcher will applied probabilistic method in which respondents are selected as per
random basis and also get equal chances to be selected. Through using the random sampling
method, there has been 20 respondents chosen.
