Analyzing the problem
The idea of employing the generation Y employees is something that has emerged to be
common in this in most of the organizations since most of them are known to have flocked the
job market right after receiving different levels of trainings in their respective fields. Moreover,
the generation Y employees appear to be unique in quite a number of ways right forms the way
they express themselves to how they are capable of handling various tasks within their respective
areas of work (Birdi et al., 2016). What I more worrying is that quite a number of managers have
not been able to appropriately learn how these kinds of personalities should be managed to come
up with an efficient mode of operation within their organizations. Most of the managers have
also been able to develop some negative perspectives regarding in relation to the generation Y
employees thus hindering the emergence of quite a number of positive outcomes that are capable
of taking place within an organization. Moreover, when the generation Y employees are poorly
managed, this is a condition that is likely to come up with a lot of effects within their respective
organizations either at the internal level or even at the external environment of the organization.
According to research statistics, all the organizations that have been able to neglect the
management of the generation Y employees have ended up not attaining most of their desired
goals since the entire condition is known to have the capability of causing quite a number of
effects to the entire organizations irrespective of the total time that it will take for the negative
effects to emerge. Quite a number of managers have been on the verge to look for various
solutions on how best they can be able to come up with appropriate strategies and
recommendations in terms of how best they can be able to manage this generation of employees
in order to come up with a more reasonable outcome that can help them to attain some of the

goals that they have been able to desire over the past in relation to the direction that the
performance of the organization should be taking. Currently, quite a number of information has
been able to emerge regarding various issues that are known to be connected to the generation Y
employees together with their capability and how they are capable of operating within an
organization. This is information that was able to emerge right after quite a number of
organizations were able to raise a lot of concern regarding some of the challenges that they have
been able to face when it comes to the management of the generation Y employees. This
research proposal therefore aims towards coming up with a more advanced form of analysis that
will be able to provide a deep explanation regarding some of the negative outcomes that are
likely to emerge within an organization when the generation employees are poorly managed by
addressing the question ‘what are the negative outcomes that are capable of emerging as a result
of poorly managing the generation Y employees?’.
Research designs
There are quite a number of research designs that are known to be capable of fitting this
research and at the same time, they also have the potential of generating different types of
information that can be appropriately analyzed to come up with a more reasonable outcome that
is capable of eradicating any conditions that are likely to be attached to confusion during the
research process (Birkinshaw, Bresman & Håkanson, 2016). One of the major functions of
research design in this paper will be to ensure that each and every evidence that is obtained from
the whole research will come up with one of the most reliable conditions to effectively address
the entire research problem that has been evaluated in relation to the entire situation. The
research designs majorly include the following;

One of the major research design that is known to have the capability of fitting in this
research is the exploratory research that will be able to adequately explore various
conditions in order to find out quite a number of issues that are related to the whole
research questions thus being able to come up with an appropriate conclusion that is more
reliable.
Quantitative research design- This is a type of research design that is normally
implemented with an intention of examining the relationships that are capable of existing
between different variables through the use of different numbers and statistics in order to
explain and even analyze quite a number of findings. As a result of this, the research
design will be used in the analysis of various types of finding that are known to be
connected to the research question that is fully associated with this paper (Ferris & Judge,
2016).
Qualitative research design- This is the third research design that is known to have the
potential of appropriately fitting within the research. Additionally, it will be specifically
used to carry out an exploration of the entire research question in relation to it meaning
together with the understanding of quite a number of complex types of environmental
conditions that majorly include the nature of various experiences that is attached to
various individuals (Godey et al., 2016). As a result of this, it will be able to help in the
outlining of quite a number of questions specifically the ones that needs to be solved in
order to come up with reasonable results that can be easily understood (Brewster, Wood
& Brookes, 2017). Moreover, it will be used to carry out a deep understanding,
description and also in the discovery of quite a number of findings.
