Introduction
According to Hassoune et al, (2016) Web application implementation in the course of
booking system (OBS) has been getting highly influential in today’s society. Ubiquity of the
clients have been the major advantage that will be received after the implementation of online
booking system. The ability of maintaining the web applications with the help of the installing
the software that has the potential of maintaining data of 1000s of clients and distributing the
same to the required department. This has been the major aspect that the popularity of the project
have been very high. Usage of the Internet scale distributed system and hence scalability of the
process gets emphasized as the usage of the processing of the encapsulation of the data that are
gathered are performed in a proper manner. Tracking of the reservation process has been the
major aspect that is received after the usage of the OBS. Getting a brief yet precise
understanding of the clients that are present in the business system. With the help of the tools
gaining a brief understanding of the entire process will be performed in a manner that will
benefit the functioning process. Activity operations are performed as per the processing of the
guide’s purpose for adapting to the new technology of OBS.
Architecture
According to Hindman (2018), the architecture of the system is dependent on the client
server communication which has a specific pattern as per the application design pattern.
Specified architecture set will implement MVC architecture. Usage of the visitor architecture as
well as the state architecture will be used as well as the observer architecture will be providing
better management of the OBS. J2EE is used for following the MVC architecture. Enterprise

Java Application as Struts, Hibernate, JDBC integrated framework are the integrated frameworks
that are to be used in the differential models. Implementation of MVC for performing the J2EE
will be requiring the usage of one tier or single tier architecture. Usage of 2 tier and 3 tier
architecture will be required. Usage of N tier architecture can also be made. The architecture of
the system is diversified into model, view and controller. As per the Model section,
responsibility as per the handling of the database interaction will be performed by the controller.
In the view section, responsibility of displaying content of the user will be well analyzed. As per
the controller, the main aspect includes performing on behalf of the user. With the help of the
Java Swing method, in the Model section, retrieving selected names of states and hence
processing of database will be implemented. Utilizing the same f or the processing of providing
Combobox menu for providing drop down menu. In the controller section, sending message to
the models about the user selection and hence providing selection of the location of the clients.
In case of Hibernate frameworks, the model that is used is Java beans. The view that is used is
HTML or JSP page. The controller uses the functionality of back end servlet. This is converted
via JSPs. The entire architecture is completely maintained by the controllers which delegates the
request to perform the end user clients that is based on the requests made by the controller
delegates. This also helps in analyzing the response that is received and the controls the
modification of the beans that are present as per the modified data that is generated.
The entire architecture is diversified in 2 parts. The parts are namely the Client and the
Server. Client section has View and the Server section is differentiated in between model and the
controller. The data from the view is sent to the model. The data is also transacted in between
Model and Controller. Data in between Model and Controller.

Again according to Jin and Phua (2016), in case of the one tier architecture, the entire
system is differentiated in between the Server and the Clients. The data is transacted in between
Server and Client. In the Client set includes 3 layers. The layers are namely Presentation layer,
Business Logic Layer and Database. Data are transacted in between the Presentation layer and
the Business Logic Layer. Data transaction in between the Business Logic layer and the database
are also performed in a manner that affects the functioning process in a positive manner.
The two tier architecture includes presence of GUI in the client phase. Presentation layer
is present in the GUI. The Server section is differentiated in between Controller and the Model.
Business Logic Layer is present in the Controller. Presence of Database layer in the model and
data transaction in between the 3 entities enhances the functioning process of the Online Booking
System.
In case of the 3 tier system, the entire architecture is differentiated in 3 parts, namely the
Client Machine, Application Server and the Database Server. Client Program is in the view
section. Controller processing is performed as per the programming codes that are performed and
hence the functioning process of the business management gets performed in a proper manner.
The Model section constitutes of the DBMS. The main disadvantage this is present in the section
includes high complexity in the functioning of the project. This leads that the cost that is incurred
in the maintaining section will be very high. Separation will lead to performance issues. This is
the main issue that is present in the functional process of the 3 tier architecture system.
In case of Struts, the entire architecture is diversified in 3 parts, namely Client Browser,
Web Container and Database. The main aspect that is taken into consideration includes the fact
that the controller including Filter and Servlet, The view section constitutes of the JSP and the

Model constitutes of Java Bean. From this section the data from Model will be sent to the
Database. The entire section of Controller, View and Model is termed as Web Container.
Important features
According to Kucukusta et al (2015), the features that are needed to be included is having
a proper image gallery that will depict the background of the app and hence processing of the
background of the application that will be processed. Book now button must be approaching
every now and then and navigation process also needs to be enhanced. Efficient navigation
process is to be implemented. This incurs the aspect that proper management of the real time
tracking is to be performed. This ensures that real time booking process gets facilitated and
hence booking process will be getting better. Social media integration is also required in the
process. This will enhance better connectivity. Another aspect that is considered is proper
communication process will be maintained.
Advantages
According to Yehl et al, (2016), companies which require to provide booking system to
its consumers requires to store information regarding date of booking and price for that booking
as well. Companies these days does not have manual booking system because this is not only
inefficient, but also ineffective as well.
Therefore, like many other companies, junction motors has also implemented online
booking system for its consumers. Now this has various benefits for the organizations, not only
for its employees but also for its consumers as well.

The benefits that the online booking system provides are the followings that needs to be
analyzed in details to identify the impact of the online booking system on the business process of
the company.
Some of the important benefits of the online booking system are:
 Providing booking service 24*7: junction motors through their online booking system
provides its consumers to book for car repairing services and consumers do not need to
wait for any consumer representative to book for their service manually which is
inefficient and this will affect the consumer service as well and hence this is a significant
benefit for the company as it provides an efficient service
 Check booking status: online booking system will allow consumers to manage their
booking related queries effectively. It will be easier for them to view their booking status
and they will know exactly whether their booking is confirmed or not and for this they do
not need to contact the consumers representatives which is a time consuming process and
sometimes consumers are not even able to get response to their queries as well which
makes this process inefficient. Hence online booking system is effective in this context
 Provide online payment options: online booking system will allow junction motors to
allow consumers to pay for their services through digital payment systems. This provides
a range of payment options and this provides consumers flexibility to pay for the service
that they opt for. Apart from that digital payment is faster too which improves consumer
satisfaction as well and this is important for junction motors for enhanced consumer
management
Disadvantages

Again according to Furuta et al (2018), although online booking system provides various
benefits, it has some disadvantages as well and this is important to analyze for improving the
features of the online booking system. Some of these disadvantages are:
 Complex IT infrastructure: in order to implement online booking system, junction motors
requires investment for developing IT infrastructure which requires significant
investment which might be regarded as a potential disadvantage because if the integration
of the system is not proper, then it will not ensure profit for the organization
 Technical competency: if the employees do not have proper technical skill, then they will
not be able to manage the system which include efficient data management and payment
management. If this is not ensured then the system will not provide the benefits because
employees are responsible for executing various features of the online booking system
 Data security: storing data online for online booking system has data security issues as
data might be hacked. along with that payment data also might be hacked which
compromises privacy security of the consumes as well
Reflection
As per my point of view, I personally feel that usage of online booking system will be
benefitting junction motors for performing online booking system. The main advantage that will
be enjoyed is that the access to the business management will be present and hence the clients
will be getting the service of the business organization and hence business expansion will be
easier. Hassle free management of reservation process will be getting better. This also helps in
business expansion. Hence getting more reservations will increase. I feel getting insight to the
system will be very high. Another instance that can be considered is that the data that are

generated during the processing of the business management will be stored. This stored data will
be acting a guide for performing the business process. This will ensure that functioning
processing of Junction motors will get better and this will be performed by motoring of the
business process gets enhances as analytic tools are used for monitoring system. Hence better
analysis of the client demands will be made. This will take into consideration that services that
will be provided will be having a better impact on the clients itself. Hence the services that will
be provided will be providing higher convenience to the clients. Increasing the revenues are the
main instance that will be helping Junction motors to thrive as a business organization. The cost
that is incurred in the manual marketing process is decreased as proper integration of the social
media along with application will be providing a better communication process. Chances of plan
cancellation will also decrease as the payment is to be made earlier before reserving the seats. As
the payment is already made the clients are forced to complete their reservation. I also feel with
the help of the online booking system, the payments can be made digitally. This digital payment
process will be having a faster transaction process and business commencing method. Despite
the advantages that are received the main issue that is present is that the data breaching process is
present and the architecture that is to be implemented will be hard to use. Proper training will be
required for the employees to get accustomed to the entire OBS performing.
