Introduction
Organizational Behaviour refers to the study of the
different aspects of behaviour of individuals within an
organization.
The team working is very important in Homebase to
achieve organizational goals.

4.1 Group formation
 Group is defined as a team of individuals who are
motivated to join voluntarily.
 Groups are formed due to following reasons:
 Physical proximity:People who live in same
geographical area come together to form group.
 Support: At the time of crisis, groups are formed.
Common goals: to achieve organizational goals.
 Rewards: motivate employees to work in a group.

Stages in Group Formation
 Forming: members come together in this stage.
Involvement is very vital at this stage.
 Storming: members raise voice against individual
differences which are resolved by leaders.
 Norming: members share common commitment
towards group's objective.
 Performing: Members participate effectively to
achieve group's objects.
