4.1 Existing approaches to collection, formatting, storage and
dissemination of information
Marriott International one of the notable enterprise existing in the hospitality industry that
renders their variety of services to their different guests. However, there are different knowledge
and information that is being required by the hotel manager so that they may render proper
decisions within the enterprise thus, it will also result in accomplishing the stated objectives.
Furthermore, there are different approaches that is being used by Marriott international for
collecting, dissemination and formatting the accumulated information ad knowledge.
For instance; to collect the required information and knowledge manager must focus on
observation method as well as assessing the past financial and non financial information of the
hotel. As the hotel manager mainly use observation technique to collect the necessary
information from their customers as it will support in gaining valid information. Therefore, for
formatting and storing the information and data manager often use computer systems as they
store data in proper manner. However, the stored information from the computer systems can be
retried or gained at any time.

4.2 Changes to improve the approaches
For amending the approaches of collection, formatting, storage and dissemination of
the information and knowledge the manager must focus on adopting changes ad
modification from time to time so that in future they may take effective decisions.
However, the appropriate changes in the approaches would help and support the
Marriott manager in assembling and accumulating the valid as well as reliable
information. For instance, as the Marriott manager mainly select observation method
for assembling the relevant data and information from the customers or within the
organisation. Thus, they would implement some changes in improving the approach as
manager must plan the proper observational structure that they need to monitor thus, it
will result in avoiding the duplication and error while collecting the information.
