Description of needs of the position
Health and safety adviser (H&S adviser) is the position where hiring is required in the
construction organization. This position is essential for the firm because it helps in keeping
people safe within the worksite (Nielsen, 2014). H&S advisors generally make policies and
rules to make sure that employees do not get harmed by their jobs and investigate and report
the occurrence of accidents. They also provide guidance to employees and leaders about
complying with laws and rules about safety (Li, Jiang, Yao & Li, 2013). Thus, the risk of
accidents can be avoided by recruiting in this position and the organization can comply with
national standards of health and safety.
Job description
Responsibilities associated with this position:
Evaluating potential risks and developing plans for reducing risk
Outlining the safe practices by considering all the hazards related to the business
Developing health and safety policies for the company
Checking whether the policies are being implemented properly or not
Leading the training of managers, leaders, and employees about H & S issues and
processes to mitigate issues
Keeping records of inspection and past accidents
Producing bulletins, newsletters, and reports for management
Advising on different specialist areas including noise, hazard substances, fire
regulations, occupational diseases, and safeguarding machinery
Salary:
Salary for this position is 24000 USD to 32000 USD at the beginning
