1. Project Scope:
The luxury hotel in Greece consists of 56 rooms in total that is situated just a few
steps walking up the Grikos Bay on the Greece’s platform island. The hotel offers all of its
customers with various of service such as the likes of lavish suites, fascinating dining
services, spa services, an elegant bar as well as a beautiful front view of the Greece island
and the beach [1]. In addition to this, the hotel also has the inclusion of private pools as well
as exclusive spa services with the front view to make the customers relaxed while staying at
the hotel. The hotel also displays a series of Greek architecture along within complementary
aesthetics that belong to the Greek history.
With all the above-mentioned features, the guests also have the need for wireless
connection that also should be primarily included within the services while staying at the
hotel. The provisioned internet connectivity might be needed by the guests for a number of
purpose such as accessing emails, searching up for local attractions as well as voice or video
chats with family to keep in touch with their beloved [2]. However, the previously existing
network was outdated having a very poor coverage for signal along with issues in
connectivity as well as security of the connection. This led to a negative impact upon the
guest satisfaction from the company’s end.
Keeping all this in mind, a new network has been designed for the Greek Luxury hotel
that will solve the connectivity issues as well as provision the guests with an allowance of
accessing the internet for their own purposes. The network will be designed in the following
manner,
i) There will be the existence of a main router at the ground floor that will be
connected to the main wireless server for the internet connectivity. From here 5
other routers placed on different floors shall be connected.

ii) There shall be four floors namely floor-1, floor-2, floor-3 and floor-4. Each of the
floor will be provided with a dedicated router and 14 hosts each for each of the
room. Hence, 56 rooms on each floor consists of 14 rooms each and 14 hosts
inside those rooms.
iii) Apart from these floors, there will be an administration department of the hotel
that will have control and monitor over all the activities carried out within the
hotel including its operation as well as business [3]. The administration
department will be provided with 4 hosts. The administration department will
consist of a dedicated router connected to the main router as well.
iv) Each of the router is wireless and will allow the guests to connect any device of
their choice and access the internet on the same.
2. Response to Project Scope:
For the network design that had been provided in the project scope section of
Assignment part-1, some of the improvements that can be made has been described below
with the following points. These are,
i) The network can be made secure by various security standards for better
protection to the data that is being transmitted over the network.
ii) Installation of access control policies that can be implemented to prevent the
floors from accessing each other and the data that is transmitted over the
communication channel of the designed network [4].
