Learning journal 1: Globalization of Ethical Decision Making
The activities in this week helped me learn regarding the activities related to the
globalization regarding the ethical decision making. The activities of the week have helped me in
the understanding of the various issues that are highlighted in terms of the implementation of
ethical decision making alongside the practices of globalization.
The lecturer had initiated the presentation with the issues that are highlighted in terms of
the financial factors that are presented within the operations as are undertaken by the concerned
organizations that are operational in the global markets. The lectures helped us in the
understanding of the impact of the various financial practices that are presented within the given
organizations. The lecturer discussed the various supportive actions that are highlighted by the
financial organizations present in the global scenario. The lecturer highlighted the operations that
are undertaken by the organizations like the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations
Global Compact as well as the World Trade Organization help in the maintenance of the
financial activities of the organizations as well. The lecturer further highlighted several issues
that are related to the ethical factors as have been highlighted within the operations undertaken
by the concerned business organizations.
The issues that are highlighted in terms of the maintenance of the activities of
globalization by the various organizations. The major issues that are highlighted in this regard
refer to the issues of corruption, the issues in the variations that have been practiced in terms of
the international regulations that are highlighted in this accord. The lecture further helped me in
understanding the fact that the supply chains that are maintained by the concerned organization.
The supply chain activities that are highlighted in this scenario highlight the fact that there has

been a number of instances wherein the human rights of the employees are violated (Crane et al.,
2019). The other ethical issues as have been highlighted in terms of the operations of the
organization highlight the practices of bribery as well as the various practices that are related to
the lack in the trust among the employees of the organization (Curtis et al., 2017). The other
factors in this regard refers to the issues in terms of the privacy and the security that need to be
maintained during the use of the internet.
The discussion on the above-mentioned matters helped me in the proper understanding of
the various ethical matters that are required for the overall development and the understanding of
the operations of the business organizations. This would further help me in the proper
understanding of the issues that would arise in the daily operations of the concerned business
organization.
The knowledge that is gained through this unit would help me in the proper
understanding of the ethical issues that I might face in my future life as a professional in the
various companies that are operational in the international markets. The understanding of the
ethical issues would help me in avoiding the same in the future professional life.
Learning journal 2: Ethical Leadership
In this week the lecturer organized activities that are related to the understanding of the
ethical leadership that should be implemented within the business organizations. The activities
that had taken place in this regard has helped me in understanding the various issues that might
arise in case of implementing the ethical leadership within the organizations.
The lecturer had conducted several activities that included the division of the class into
several teams. The lecturer had assigned the groups with on single scenario. One of the members

were chosen as the leader for each team. The chosen leader had to undertake activities that would
promote the ethical style of leadership. This helped me in understanding the various ways in
which the ethical leadership helps in the development of the employee engagement within the
business settings.
Ethical leadership refers to the style of leadership that highlights the skills of the leader
that are required for a proper and healthy atmosphere within the given organization which would
in turn help in the development of the proper understanding regarding the employee engagement
and the motivation. The ethical leadership as should be implemented within the organization
highlights the conditions of providing the proper inspiration to the given employees within the
organization (Hoch et al., 2018). This would further help in the increase in the employee
engagement as should be implemented within the organization in order to deal in the matters that
include the overall performance of the company in the given markets. The inclusion of the
ethical style of leadership helps in the proper understanding and the inclusion of the concepts of
employee engagement within the given organization. The implementation of the ethical
leadership within the organization helps in the understanding of the various ways in which the
organization might highlight the need for the common good (Bedi, Alpaslan & Green, 2016).
This helps the concerned employees to undertake the activities that would lead to the proper
development of the concerned organization in the given markets.
The proper understanding of the ethical leadership style is associated with the increase in
the employee engagement within the company. The proper understanding of the issues that are
highlighted in this context helps in the proper understanding of the effects that arise due to the
greater amount of motivation that is provided to the employees of the organization. The inclusion
of the ethical leadership within the given organization is observed to have been contributing

highly to the overall development of the workplace and the workplace behavior that is observed
to have been implemented by the concerned organization.
The proper understanding of the ethical leadership would help in the implementation of
the ways in which a positive work culture might be imbibed into the concerned employees. The
unit has helped me understand the importance of the ethical practices in every single sphere of
life. This would help me develop my leadership and management skills which in turn would help
me to develop professional relationships in the workplace. This in turn would help me in
achieving my desired success.
Learning journal 3: Emerging Business Ethics Issues
The activities and the lectures of this week helped me in understanding the various issues
that are presented in terms of the business ethics that are maintained by the concerned
individuals. The activities that have been highlighted in this regard helped me in the
understanding the ways in which the ethical activities have been helpful in the development of
the workplace behavior as demonstrated by the employees of the organization.
The lecturer of this week had divided the class in to ten groups and asked us to prepare
notes on the various ethical scandals that have taken place in the business scenarios. The lecturer
had asked each group to undertake researches on the top ten business scandals that have been
highlighted in the international markets. The participation in this activity helped me in gaining
better knowledge on the business scenarios as well as developed my knowledge base on the ways
in which the ethical issues can be resolved.
Ethical issues refer to the factors that are related to the groups or the problems or
opportunities that require investigation and the introspection which in turn would lead to the

decision-making activities. The various ethical factors that have been affecting the employee
performance within the organization as well as the overall performance of the company in the
given markets (Di Benedetto, 2017). The major ethical factors that are highlighted in this
scenario refers to the values of integrity and honesty that is required for the proper understanding
and the completion of the job at hand. The major ethical issues that are generally faced by the
concerned organizational employees refer to the lack of the proper integrity within the workforce
of the organization. This includes the fairness that should be allowed in terms of the work that is
highlighted within the organization as well (Davies, 2016). The lack of fairness, honesty and
integrity among the organizational employees often leads to the lack in the overall performance
of the company in the given markets as well as hampers the good will that is maintained by the
company in the international business scenario.
The discussion on the ethical issues as are observed within the various business
operations are known to have been dealing in the lack of the understanding of the various
scenarios that are faced by employees of a certain organization. The implication of the ethical
behavior within the workplace helps in the promoting a healthy atmosphere at the workplace and
thereafter affects the employee engagement within the concern as well.
The lecture on the various ethical issues faced within the workplace has helped me learn
about the situations that might arise within the workplaces. The lecture has helped me to prepare
myself in order to deal with the various issues like the lack of integrity among the employees, the
lack of proper transparency among the employees within the organization and the lack of the fair
activities within the workforce. This in turn would help me in dealing with the situations that
might take place in the future days.

Learning summary
The lectures in this course has helped me in understanding the fact that the inclusion of
the ethics within the business operations assist in the development and the inclusion of the
various practices that are required for the smooth business operations within the business
organizations.
The lecturers and the activities that I had undertaken during the course helped mem in
gaining major knowledge regarding the importance of the ethical practices and the ethical
activities in the development of the concerned organization as well. The participation in this
