NEW PERSPECTIVES FOR THE FUTURE INTEROPERABLE ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS
Introduction
The swift alterations in the present world socio-economic as well as the technological
environment where the enterprises are operating requires the proper identification of the
innovative requirements that helps in addressing the both practical and the theoretical
prospects of Enterprise Information Systems. These kinds of the developing environment
mainly adds in equally the system complexity plus the process complication that cannot be
effectively controlled by conventional architectures. This report intends to analyse the article
“NEW PERSPECTIVES FOR THE FUTURE INTEROPERABLE ENTERPRISE
SYSTEMS” and determine the effectiveness of the article. The brief perspective of the
authors of the article are being considered and determined whether they are effective or not.
Discussion
In this article, the authors claim that the increasing diversity of environment where the
enterprises are intending to collaborate with the customers as well as the suppliers have
developed the proper interoperability to be the scientific test of the significant prominence
[1]. The requirement of addressing this particular challenges becomes significantly critical
when the consideration of the new paradigms such as the cyber physical systems plus the
internet of things have been able introduce the innovative identifiable resources with the
ability of communication as well as the capability of effective processing plus have
significantly added to the improved complexity of several technical environments where the
collaborations are happening [3].
According to the authors of the article, it has been claimed that even though the
industry has effectively responded to the interoperability issues with efficient increase of the
alliance interfaces as well as the integration mechanisms, these kinds of the developments
might grow to be completely unmaintainable with the swift growth in the variety of the

system architectures [2]. The conventional approaches that are required for achieving the
interoperability have effectively targeted the allowing of the negotiation that is executed in
the processes where the two systems intends to comprehend the interfaces of one another,
then the capability of interoperating is significantly dependent on the capability of
understanding. The increased requirement for the constant research in the enterprise
integration as well as the interoperability is required to be effectively highlighted along with
identification of the evolving trends as well as the concerns of the significance to the vast
domain of the Enterprise Information Systems [4]. It is crucial to properly summarize the
major challenges that are defined in the articles of the previous researches that are still
considered to be completely valid. According to the previous researchers, it has been claimed
that even though the earlier generated Enterprise Information System were found to the
application centric with not so required combined rules the business, the later generated
Enterprise Information Systems could be measured to be significantly data-centric and they
are completely driven by the integrated databases. The later generation EIS mainly
emphasises on the business processes along with the suitable architectures of the process
management that are supported by the integrated systems. In this article, a brief discussion
has been provided that explains the use of the EIS in the cloud computing. According to the
earlier researchers, by the year 2020, the amount of the smart phones, the PCs or the tablets
that would be used in the present world would completely reach more than what the
convention information systems could handle. Due to this, the proper storage methods are
required to be developed and integrated in the enterprises. With the development of the
Internet of things at the significantly faster rate, it would lead to the amount of over 25 billion
units [5]. The innovative paradigms, the approaches, the technologies and the devices are
required to be effectively handle the complete flow of the data in the extensively flexible, the
reliable, as well as the secure manner. The development of the cloud computing technology

could be considered as the major technologies that would be used for supporting the required
efforts for overcoming the significantly fast data flows.
Cloud computing could be described as the effective model for the enabling of the
convenient, ubiquitous, the on-demand access to network to any shared pool of configurable
resources for the computing where the computing resources could be swiftly allocated with
the diminished or even the minimal effort of the management or even the interaction along
with the service providers [6]. The cloud based systems have been considered to be
extensively flexible, and extensively scalable and it could easily operate increasingly
economically from the point of the users. The required features of the cloud computing that
have been considered to be on-demand, the self-service, the broad access to the network, the
resource pooling, the swift elasticity, the pre-determined service.
The prominent argument that is made for making the assumption that the CBS would
constitute the key development as well as the storage components of future Next Generation
Enterprise Information Systems is completely associated with the flexibility as well as the
potential of the collaboration [7]. The cloud computing provides the extensive financial
advantages with providing the increasingly high level possibilities of the collaboration. The
cloud computing involves the several prospects of the computation for allowing it to be
described by the various models. When the services as well as the deployment features are
effectively considered, it could easily be categorised into the three basic service models, that
are the Software as a Service, the Platform as a Service, and the Infrastructure as a Service
[8].
This article claims that the cloud storage could easily be hosted as well as the
employed in the various styles relying on use case, individually business model of that
provider that are the private cloud, the public cloud, the hybrid cloud, the community and the

Special purpose cloud. The major profits of the method that has been discussed in this article
are that the users of the services does not need to personally own as well as manage the
complete capital equipment that has been involved in the development of the cloud storage
[9]. From the perspective of the financial aspects, it could be considered that the cloud
computing represents the pay-per-use model of the business with the significantly lower costs
in majority of the situations and this has been considered to be the major advantage for any
average user and the customers. The other common advantages of the cloud computing
mainly involve but are not restricted to the increasingly scalable, the extensive homogeneity,
the resilient computing, the virtualisation, the low software cost, the distribution across the
world with the connection of internet the services orientation, the virtualisation as well as the
significantly developed technologies for ensuring the central security [10]. The advantages of
the security in the cloud computing are associated with the consideration that the shifting data
of the public to the external cloud helps with the reduction of the complete exposure of
internal sensitive data, and the cloud homogeneity helps with the simplified security auditing
or the testing. The cloud helps the customers by enabling the automated security management
as well as the simplified redundancy recovery. The advantages in the data storages could be
considered as the automated replication, the extensive data fragmentation and the dispersal,
the provision of the data zones, the encryption in the storages or the transfer and the
automated retention of the data from the cloud.
It has been claimed in the article that the present major challenges for the next
generation Enterprise Information Systems are within the dynamic, the configurability, the
competitive as well as the intelligence of the customers, the intelligent reconfiguration, the
automatized categorisation of the ontological structures, the transient analysis as well as the
adaptive services [11]. These kinds of challenges helps with the conducting to the set of the
envisaged solutions within the short, the long the medium terms. The intelligent response that

is allowed with the Internet of Things of the enterprises to the environment. The
implementation of the virtual as well as the physical capabilities of sensing as well as the then
connecting them to any digital certificates of Future Internet. The inclusive as well as the
consolidation of the efforts for creating the significantly large possibilities of the innovative
business are being considered as the most innovative method of allowing the integration of
the enterprise systems in the various sectors [12].
Conclusion
Therefore, it could be concluded that the article clearly discusses the next generation
interoperable enterprise systems and determines the methods by which the enterprise systems
would be developed for the common people and the businesses. The main strength of this
article is that it has been claimed that the enterprises are required to be completely addressed
as the complex adaptive systems, that are stimulated by the resilient and the extensive
sensorial capabilities that have the ability of detecting the physical as well as the virtual
stimulus, with the recognition of the context of the particular situations and then responding
or even reacting appropriately. The main weakness of this article is that the research
methodology has not been mentioned in this article and the results that are obtained with the
research and approximation and no certainty has been provided.
