Introduction
The new variables were recoded and generated from old variable names to identify the
categories as shown in the output results. The p-values are bolded as indicated below.
Analysis Processes
All the analysis has been conducted using STATA software. Chi-square tests have been
performed to compare the associations between the variables. The variable Recorded “NA” in
the Systolic blood pressure have been dropped from the final analysis. Furthermore, other
records such as 0/10 and 10/10 in severity were dropped from the results output using drop
command. The dropping of these records from the analysis was based on the fact they are
insignificant and may not make any new change in the overall associations.
For to note, p-values greater than 0.05 indicates that there is no statistical significance
association between the variables while p-values less than 0.05 indicates that there is a
statistical significance association between the variables. To be specific, significance p-values
are bold and highlighted in green while non-significant associations are only bolded.
Results
According to the findings, there is a statistical significance association between Full mona
and severity with a p-value of 0.003<0.05, Pearson chi2(20) = 42.2757. This confirms that
the proportions of severity are not the same and that category 8/10 is leading with 15.83%
while category 0/10 is least with only 1.67%. In addition, there is a statistical association
between hyperlipidemia and full mona, p-value = 0.021<0.05, Pearson chi2(2) = 7.6816
with over half of the participants ad experienced htn in one way or the other. The findings
also identify significance relationship between systolic blood pressure and full mona, p-value
= 0.001<0.05, Pearson chi2(6) = 21.7179.
Moreover, the results established that there is a statistical significance association between
hyperlipidemia and full mona, p-value = 0.006<0.05, Pearson chi2(4) = 14.4660.Finally,
there is association between side effects and Asprin Alone as indicated by a p-value of
0.0005<0.05, Pearson chi2(54) = 140.1191.
